People should not be afraid of their church. People should seek a religion that gives them spiritual comfort, not spiritual torment. Living in fear is spiritual torment, anyone who has PTSD/PTSI can tell you that. A religion is supposed to give you comfort & inner peace, not terror & PTSD.

Many of us leave thinking David Miscavige is an SP and that LRH was Pure. A large group of people truly feel that Miscavige is the problem, with all of the money hungry reg cycles that we were forced to endure. Give him a few weeks to start seeing the internet information available and nearly 1 for 1 you start to realize that Miscavige is a problem, but LRH isn't the saint we were led to believe either. This from the perspective of someone born and raised in the full belly of Scientology.
Right. No denial, that LRH and the first SH crew put a lot of work into many helpful things though. Some of it never left our family's life. But he might come to the conclusion, that LRH isn't the Source. However, the (constantly changed) church dogma and COB's narcissism and aggressive criminality are the problem of COS today.
Hubbard was demented. A hard truth but not so much once people realize he was just like most other cult leaders. He had a lot of mh issues that might have been at least somewhat addressed but his narcissism prevented him from reacting appropriately to his doctors' collective attempts to help him. I think the cleanest example of this is what happened to him during a dental appointment when he immediately associated one adverse experience with evil and decided from then on, that dentistry wasn't acceptable.
