It's been a while since we've seen the 350Z here on the channel! Now that we have a buyer lined up, I need to get these last few tasks complete. Let me know what you think of the new Tesla Style Head Unit in the comments down below, Would you do this to your 350Z?
Another great video i had my fingers crossed for your 1st drive to the mot station, great it passed .sad to see the 350z go sounded amazing.good luck with the move u lucky bugger 😂😂😂
My corsa opc has the same MAP sensor (Bosch 0 261 230 048) from the factory. I know it because I bought the car new from the dealer. I works well and it is a 0.2 to 2.5 bar and -40 to +130 C . Its specs are: Voltage output is 0.4 to 4.65 V linear to the input pressure 0.2 to 2.5 bar and NTC thermistor of 2.5 Kohm at +20 C. Your new Bosch 0 281 006 076 is a MAP sensor of 0.2 to 3.0 bar and -40 to +130 C. They are different. Their Vout related to the temperature is the same, but the 2nd one outputs 4.65V when P=3.0 bar (not 2.5 bar). The pressure does not get that high, but the problem is that at a given pressure (let's say 1 bar atm + 1.2 bar boost = 2.2 bar absolute pressure), the 2nd sensor (the new one) will output a smaller voltage than the original 1st sensor would output, the ECU will think that the pressure is lower (because of the smaller voltage), and the end result will be the ECU controlling the wastegate in such a way that the actual pressure will be higher than 2.2 bar. Hopefully, the engine will not run a leaner fuel mixture in boost conditions, because the ECU calculates the fuel based on the MAF sensor readings (in open loop mode, no O2 sensor readings at high accelerating) which will be correct. So there will be a mismatch in air pressure and air flow, with unknown results. Theoretically, your ECU will read 1.843 bar (around 0.843 boost) when actual P=2.2bar (1.2 bar boost), and it will produce (if exhaust flow is capable) around 2.635 bar=> around 1.635 bar overboost instead of 1.2bar overboost. Also, it will produce (if exhaust flow is capable) around 2.391 bar => around 1.391 bar normal boost instead of 1.0 bar normal boost. Finally, Bosch 0 261 230 302 and Bosch 0 261 230 283 are drop-in replacements for Bosch 0 261 230 048 . Also, the bad sensor output was low (around 0 V , out of the valid range 0.4 to .65V) and the fault disappeared by replaing it, beacause the bad sensor got out of the system.
I haven’t been uploading anything to be honest but il be starting again soon Iv been busy with other things and getting some parts together and just need to find some time to start working on the cars again.
I know what that’s like man! Seriously life and everything in between gets in the way! I hope all is working well for you and the family though and your all keeping safe! We still need to do something together one of these days! Would be awesome fun to! 👍🏼🙌🏻

Great work on both cars. Both successes!
Thanks man! Bit of an odd video to put together running both cars in one video but needed to be done this time!
Thanks again for watching too! 🏎️🏎️🏎️
Sad to see the 350z go but I'm sure it's for the greater 👍
I felt the exact same! I really didn’t want to let this one go but I can’t keep them all! Anyway onwards and upwards! How are you doing also?
Great video bro 😎 and well done on the rebuild and getting it through a mot. Keep up the amazing content bro 😎
Thanks man! It’s coming together! How’s things going your end? I need to spend some time watching yours man! 🏎️🏎️🏎️

Head unit is sick.
