I find it interesting that Kazahana Azure actually has a quote specific to piloting the Gold Frame, a nod to her piloting the Gundam Astray Gold Frame Amatsu Hana, and later Gold Frame Amaterasu, in *Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Astray Princess of the Sky.* It's much like how Graham Aker (Movie) nods to the FESTIVAL 10 "Re:Vision" with his Graham Gundam quotes, and Heine Westenfluss having quotes about the Destiny Gundam's power as well as that of the Concluders, tying into the lore of his personal Destiny Gundam unit (which, similar to the Gold Frame Amaterasu, was made free DLC).
Not only that, I heard she did pilot the Blue Frame briefly in the original Astray.
@@allenusison3124 Yeah, I believe she does. Perhaps her battle quotes are derived from that? That being said, I never read any of the Astray manga, so I have no idea what's actually going on in them.
The first version of Gold Frame wasn't incomplete. The reason right arm is gone is because Gold Frame used the same rail bazooka (it's a prototype) that's available as a weapon of choice in the game.
The rail weapon was designed for GAT-X series, it's high likely for Buster/Duel Gundam since they using the same type of weapon. Unlike both of those, Gold Astray (or any other type that's available in the same hangar) wasn't designed to use it, so after a single shot the arm got destroyed from either the recoil impact or the energy connector that's overloading the entire arm (if you look carefully, notice the after effect of using the rail bazooka resulting in a spark of lightning at the arm at 2:41). There's also a planned design for Complete Amatsu Mina and the difference is that instead of using the entire right arm of Blitz, it's only using the shoulder part (planned to use on both arms) as the designer only aimed for the use of Mirrage Colloid Stealth System but since the pilot use it in a hurry they instead scrap the original complete plan and went for the current version we know.

What are you talking about? Gold Frame perfect is the same as Amatsu Mina Custom (which is featured in the game, video and it's the one that appears in W along with its other forms) just without the "Okitsu no kagami" equipment.

…was the Gold Frame unfinished? Why does it only have one arm? (I haven’t watched Astray in ages.)
When it was first recovered it arm was attached to the blue and red astray that the junk group found and had to leave before find the full suit.
Astray doesn't have a proper anime. Just 2 ep OVAs that showcase the the Red and Blue frame. It's a manga series exclusively otherwise.
Other person nails the story. Since Rondo didn't have an arm for the Gold Frame he acquired the arm of the Blitz gundam that was destroyed by Kira and also used the Mirage tech from it as well for the Gold Frame.
The arm destroyed when using Duel Gundam Rail Gun, notice when using Rail Gun its right arm have some circuit right in the animation? Since its not that compatible (It seems like different OS cant use same weapon, though this Astray was made to be compatible, but maybe error on that right arm only) Hence he discard that right arm and keep the left one since its compatible to the Rail Gun
