This show reminds me of Paper Mario, it takes a genre that I wouldn’t touch with a twenty-foot pole, gives it an appealing coat of paint to draw me in, and makes enough changes to the formula to where I don’t feel queasy halfway though.
Honestly despite the slightly small problems of the show (Like the Voice Acting admittedly being mostly made by one person, and the writing sometimes feeling a bit repetitive) I do not care about the small mistakes because this Episode is genuinely so great. I love this show already and the anime artstyle is really unique and cool and I think you being the first to tackle both genres together is cool! I love all the characters and Monitor is so silly!! Great show, and hoping this continues and has more to come!
i think this show is meant to mimic old 90s anime! so i guess that includes writing, it might not have been the best back then but this person does a good job in writing like that /nm

Honestly, the speech between baseball and monitor gave me some comfort since i feel like in baseball's situation (aka not knowing wtf i want to do and just trying to keep my dad's principles that seem completely logical to me yet not being quite what i want, the pressure of having to be "mature" and "smart" as it's in his genes and not being allowed to do things considered a "waste of time"...)

I can definitely see the quality change a bit as the episode goes on but that's understandable since you worked on this for a year now.
