Wow.. what we eat, how we exercise, how we deal with stress, how we care for our microbiom all play a role in our wellness. Glad to hear science is catching up with common sense. Thank you so much for this interview. Have shared it all over already.
I need to add that I have been on Pembrolizumab for over a year and a half for Stage 4 HNSCC and have been NED for 16 months. I also made major dietary, exercise, spiritil/ mental health changes and know this has had a huge difference in my journey to wellness.

My dad benefited from immunotherapy for his stage 4 lung cancer. He was diagnosed in 2017 and still alive in 2022. Since over a year he only has chemo therapy as a treatment as the scans didn't show any cancer anymore. Stopping with immune therapy was difficult but the immunotherapy was quite tough with the severe side effects he got from it. So far so good with a milder therapy, but all the years going to the hospital is taking its toll too. I hope he lives for many more years. Quitting is not an option (yet), the risk it will come back quickly is apparent. When it comes back there is probably no way of stopping it again.
This is the most informative video yet I seen. Thank you. I seen 4 cancer doctors and the last two last week one at Duke and a Unc doctors and this video was both of them combined. I have stage 4 pancreatic cancer now I had the Whipple and chemo 2 years ago. And have LYNCH syndrome msh6, ATM, mutyh, KRAS found in my tumor they cut out. Now I am waiting on MIS testing. But they need I get a biopsy from my lungs. For that test. Can that be done with a blood biopsy. I just did one last week again. Or does it need to do a biopsy of my tumors in my lungs? I am glad I have different opinions now. Before one chemo drug that was it. Take it til I can not tolerate it or die. And a couple more months is not worth the hell Chemo puts me through. Five month ago I was told I have months I am still here and still waiting on testing finally it is here. If you have cancer do your research and try to make the best decisions possible and are available and good luck.

Hi Spencer, so sorry for your mother's diagnosis. My wife was also diagnosed with stage 3 pan can back in 2016 but eventually become stage 4 when it spread to her liver in 2017. She tried many regimes of chemo and radiotherapy but eventually it was a immunotherapy drug call Pembrolizumab(Keytruda) that saved her. She is in full remission since Jan 2018. One of the key factor that the drug work so well is because she has a DNA defect condition call MSI-H (Microsatelite Instability High) which predispose her to response very well to Keytruda. My advise is get your mum to do a genetic and molecular test to check if she has this defect and therefore able to use this drug. Take care and best of luck!
@@terencekwan9082 what amazing news about your wife. I’ll be sure to try what you’ve suggested. She’s currently about to attempt a procedure called nano knife which aims at destroying the tumour, it’s not a cure, more of a life extension option since it doesn’t fix the root cause of the cancer.

My brother who is 67 has Melanoma and tried immune therapy it didn't work then they tried a blend of immune therapies which is more toxic but he couldn't get through it so all he is doing is radiation to help with the pain as the cancer has spread to his ribs and colon not sure what they can do now?
Why would I be given Steroids with my low dose chemo therapy. I have clear cell uterine carsonoma...terminal stage 4. I have outlived the 1 to 2 years I've been given. My doctor is puzzled that the cancer isn't acting aggressive as it should be. I've lived 6 yes now. I was unaware I would have to do chemo before immuno-therapy. He skirted around that with me. I haven't done chemo because he said the chemo wouldn't kill the cancer. I have 3 tumors in my left lung. The chemo is shrinking the tumors...the immuno-therapy to follow is to kill down the cancer cells.
Could you tell me which immuno-therapy treatment would be best for my cancer. I keep telling my doctor I'm in God's hands. He's a helper but not the great physician! Your bodies were made to fight off germs naturally. I do take elderberry gummies and probiotics/prebiotic faithfully to keep my immune system as healthy as possible as well as my digestive system. I'm in pancreas & kidney failure. Just my right kidney from radiation damage. Any information would be helpful. I never expected to get cancer. Now that I can breathe I'm walking more. Hard to walk/exercise when you're having trouble just breathing.

Why Moderna not working on mRNA on GBM?
We need better treatments. Chemo/rad is terrible. 😔
Chemo is barely a step up from blood letting or leaches. In a century they'll be calling us barbaric.
Would this be an option for a difficult to get at stage 2a lung cancer? Not possible radiation or bronchoscope biopsy due to proximity to aorta….
