I think one of the big problems with this format is the overwhelming presence of Dusknoir
Palkia, Terapagos, Dragapult, Charizard are the only decks that use it and for each of those decks there are decks that dont use it. Lugia, Ogrebolt, Regidrago, Iron Thorns etc

Tbh i hate this format too but I've enjoyed klawf hydrapple and gouging fire but klawf actually kinda runs over some pf the meta decks. Hydras cool but i wish it had a way to attack its first turn.
I finished 4-4. Pretty happy with it since I’ve only been playing for 3 months.

do you think having 1-2 50hp Gimmighoul would've helped or changed anything? Running 2 currently and it's clutch sometimes even w the looming threat of DragPult

Ya, it’s probably the main contender. Briars a bit toxic too but the combo is definitely toxic.
@@zacharyjackson7584 If Dusknoir only hit ex Pokémon, or maybe even rule box only, it would be much more manageable, but the fact it destroys small support Pokémon is a problem. That is why I put 1 Enamorus V in my Psychich decks.
I loved the deck concept ngl. But having too many supporters in a Pokestop deck is a risky move

I’m glad I’m not the only one who hates this format. Everyone says it is healthy, but everything feels bland and boring.
The only deck I find remotely fun to play is Moon, but I don’t want to be in try hard mode every game. Every Big Basic deck being a win or loss off a coin flip, it’s playing resource smart and watching people HEAVILY over extend, get Iono’d to one or Stamped down to nothing, KO Fez, then Stretcher Fez, draw 3, Research, RadGreninja, suddenly they have an 8 card hand off one Stretcher. Hand disruption feels useless, conservative board states are useless, overextensions don’t get punished, and all of the top decks just feel like if you don’t with the coin toss or you don’t have the nuts by T2, then the game is over. It’s been a while since I feel this disinterested in a format, and hopefully that changes with the new set coming out, because Rotation feels like it’s years further away than it is.
I’ve really enjoyed Turbo Iron Hamds in this format

He literally explained that this deck did well in the previous tournaments. Had he not stumbled on Quad-thorn, he would've probably gone further. Anyways, I'm sure he's doing it more for fun rather than serious competition.
