Alright so I moved back to college/my dorm and here is a little vlog of that. Although I'm not sure if it counts as a vlog since most of it is me whining. I just love complaining and being overdramatic. what can I say. If you're reading this I'm suffering as always. So many readings. So much editing to do. Zero free time. Not enough sleep. i get soooo embarrassed with how much stuff i bring to college, because i live in this tiny nyc dorm and their advice is "don't bring a lot of stuff!" but this stuff makes me happy and makes my room comfy so i can't NOT bring it hjskdfnjg
agreed, I would have so so so much stuff, and other people would rock up with 1 suitcase... I like stuff, wanted it to feel like home... idk

Dude this is exactly how my college move in process went this semester. I finally did end up back on campus but not before majorly freaking out about it on multiple occasions and calling everyone and their mother trying to make the decision. I finally packed up the night before but I technically moved in a week after everyone else (our test results were good for getting us back on campus for 14 days if we stayed isolated at home), which made my copious physical possessions even more embarrassing as I hauled them up the stairs. Anyway this was very relatable content, thank you.

Back in late June me, my sister, her husband, my mom, and my brother drove across the country to move them out of both of their apartments. They are but poor grad students in a non-STEM degree program and needed to say good riddance to their rent. We drove from Texas to Philadelphia in the middle of a pandemic to save my brother-in-law’s 1,000 books (no i am not kidding nor exaggerating, i wish i was),three bookshelves, and like three other things (those were basically his only things of value lol). We almost died from low-air quality in his apartment and our respective life spans were most likely shortened about three years from the two-and-a-half-day stay. When we were done moving him from his apartment, off to Chicago we went. We drove on dark lonely highways, five people stuffed in a single huge-ass truck with an excessively long u-haul trailer hooked to the back. I’m sure you can imagine how driving around down-town Chicago was. After getting stuck in two other parking lots (still not kidding nor exaggerating but GOSH i wish i was) we found parking in a church parking lot close to my sister’s apartment (all they wanted was a donation lol). We were told they notified the towing company and our truck and trailer and hundreds of books were safe. So we went to my sister’s apartment and began to pack some stuff and watch tv. Come morning, my brother and brother-in-law go to check on our truck (we had rented and additional car for transportation) and ummm….truck gone, trailer gone. All of my brother-in-law’s dissertation books gone. So yeah we panicked. Basically it got towed and we eventually got it back about 6 hours later (that’s an entire ordeal on it’s own but if you want the story I’ll tell it). When we finally get all my sister’s possessions packed, we ended up having to leave a rolly-chair we had had for like 15 years, her poor mattress, a cabinet, and a mirror I really wanted. Then, after 8 days on the road and probably like 3 showers each, we got everything together and drove back to texas. And yeah, that’s how we moved my sister and brother-in-law out of their apartments. It was miserable but we ate a lot of chicken and got a lot of stories out of it so yeah. Just uh,, though id share lol
