How To Re-Scan Your GOtv Decoder To Recover The Lost Channels

In this video, you will learn and understand how to RE-SCAN any model GOtv decoder so as to get back the missing channels.
We quite understand that there are some vulnerable channels that can disappear automatically from the GOtv list anytime there is a drop in strength of the signals due to shifting of the antenna position away from the highest signal reception point.
I have personally, being receiving calls from numeruous customers concerning the issue of disappearing of some of the volatile channels like ZEEWORLD, CNN, SS SELECTS,etc. from their channel lists and seek for my assistance.
Therefore, because of that, I decided to record this video on HOW TO RE-SCAN GOtv DECODERS to get back the missing channels.
STEPS TO FOLLOW
1. Press the GOtv GREEN BUTTON at the top left hand corner of the remote control (MENU BUTTON) -- OK --
2. On the TV screen go to the ADVANCE OPTIONS press -- OK --
3. You will see number one INSTALLATION press it -- OK --
4 Now you will see AUTOMATIC SCAN at number two (2) press --- OK
After, this stage , the GOtv decoder will automatically start scanning so as to realize the dismissing channels.

This is the problem I'm having, some channels disappeared and I did Auto scan many many times and nothing changed, so few day ago I decided to do a reset, I followed an instruction and I did the reset, and after doing the reset it stuck at signal information view.. I can't go back to menu anymore and the signal quality is showing Locked!
Really stucked...

Hi health is crucial.
Follow these steps below to rectify the problem.
1. If your antenna is not raised high enough please do make it to go very high above the roof top.
2. Make sure you continue to turn the antenna right round as you scan it in a bit by bit situation until you get the channels restored back.
3. Ensure you put the Antenna power at OFF position and not in ON position so as to allow the decoder to Scan with free memories and not last memories.
4. It your antenna is placed on the wall kindly remove it an mount it on a long 18" garvanize pipe successfully launched in the free space not under the tree.
Once you do these things, your signals must be restored and your channels bounce back. Thanks.

Kindly take these steps:
1. Ensure you turn the Antenna Power to OFF position and not ON.
2. If there is a place where you joined the coaxial cable, kindly buy a new wire and replace the old one.
3. If your antenna pole is not tall enough, I advise you to buy a long one to replace the one you are using so it can go high enough in the sky.
4. If you place your antenna in between two tall upstairs, kindly remove it from there and take it at the edge of the building so it can get good signals.
5. Make sure your antenna is not placed under any tree, because trees block the signals.
When you do all these things I have stated here, you will be able to restore your GOtv signals back.

If after resetting your GOtv decoder and it's saying No signals, then you need to work on the antenna because it's not getting a good signal.
Raise it higher and ensure that no tree is covering it or building blocking it. Thanks.

Hi Princess,
You still need to work on your antenna because it is not giving enough signals to your decoder that why you are seeing, No Signal on some channels.
1. Fine a way to raise the antenna high if it's lower than the building roof.
2. Ensure the cable at the back of your GOtv decoder is well tight and fitted in the F-Connector.
3. Check also if there is any place where the antenna cable was joined for a possible rust correction.
4. Make sure that the antenna is not installed under the tree or in-between two upstairs facing each other because it will not get full signals.
Note, if you have mounted your antenna on the building wall, remove it and place it on a long pipe and raise it very high in the space where it can see a free sky view.

You recharged but not working, then run a RESET to your decoder and it will come up.
Text RESET IUC NO. to 4688 or 30333
Follow the feedback message and respond with 1 to confirm your sending. That's all. Also make sure your GOtv or DStv decoder is on before sending RESET. Thanks.

Ok,
Just remove your Decoder and connect it to another antenna to check if your antenna is still good
Then, if it works, consider changing your antenna as it might be bad.
And that may be the reason why you are not getting signals.
