One thing that needs to change is paint defense. Stop allowing 6'8 "Big men" to stop 7+ footers in the paint. It should be mouse in the house/BBQ chicken all day.
Deadass and the bully badge should be activated when getting a mismatch, bully your way down and finishing over the smaller defender

NBA live 19 has a good ankle breaker system to me. Wrong direction by the defender and it activates

I need more ankle breakers back in the game.Its so boring now because everyone uses sharp shooters badge and it also take away from people using the play making badge which use to give a bigger boost to drop defenders
I was fine with dual takeovers, if they want ankle breakers and shooting them pick the playmaking takeover and sharp
Is it me or does the court on 2k always looked compressed. Like the player to court ratio is off. I see why there is never good spacing cause the court is so compacted.
It actually is smaller than it should be. If they fixed this, then nobody will be able to 2-3 zone which would make REC 100% better

2k needs to take some elements from nba live’s on ball defense mechanics.
In nba live there’s two arrows on each side of the ball handler that lights up white when the ball handler is driving/ crossing over towards one of the two arrow’s direction (when you’re defensively engaged)
Getting an ankle breaker animation can only happens when you guess incorrectly (red arrow)on which direction the ball handler is crossing over to (usually get a blow by animation most of the time)
You’ll get a (green arrow) cut off/body up animation for guessing the ball handler direction correctly
It’s a simple, effective read and react
on ball defensive mechanic that’s engaging, realistic and fun IMO
Thats why they should start back dropping the game around when the nba starts in October. Dont know why they do September. They need more time to make this game obviously cause what they are putting out subpar. They need more time.
You can jump pass without bail out though 💯 unless I missed something? lol also icon passing setting: “pass type control” is VERY under utilized. Some people don’t even know about it, which blows my mind 🤣 W video bro! 🔥

Honestly, NBA Live had the ankle breaker logic down pretty well. You’d only get snatched if you got caught biting on a move.

Paint defense all defense (but especially paint defense) needs a major fix why are mfs able to still spam behind the backs and zig zag in 2024 and I don’t understand why the blocking is so bad mfs just running to the rim and press square and get a layup or dunk no matter how many people are under the rim

This lack of showing could be a bad sign or a good sign. It might indicate that there are going to be lots of major changes requiring a lot of last-minute polish or it could mean that it's a buggy mess and they are at defcon 5 scrambling to get the game in workable order for the release.
If we see a delay at the last minute then we will know.
I agree with 95% of what my guy said, but badge regression + floor setters is a W for us non-comp, everyday players. This gives us an edge over the true casual player that just loads up and runs in the rec w/o maintaining their build. My edge: I go to practice to keep badges maxed, maintain my lethal zones and keep all perimeter spots hot, I’m affiliated for the additional boosts & animations,and I run shooting boosts. So for these fools that hop off fortnite for a min and bring an unaffiliated black plate into the rec with no boosts or hot zones, I’m tryna send them right back where they came from…I like that I can put in work for that edge.

Performance grading system needs to be fixed too. One day your silver plated, lag out in a game and now u a black plate casual. Or I could get a A+ teammate grade carry the team, and lose. Now they lowering my performance grade because I lost. I hate the system

Changes to passing are long overdue. Ankle breakers are fine where theyre at tho
Brute stop it you can say what needs to be put in the game until you are blue in the face the nerfed anklebreakers and the removed anklebreaking shots out of 2k for a reason playmaking take was so deadly on 2k20 and the game has changed since then random anklebreakers are terrible and people never drop to the floor at all Mike wang never talks about this on his X account every year around roll out time nothing can convince 2k to give us dime time dunk fest custom shirt maker for small content creators pie charts basketball gods the real actual double spin room all of the anklebreaker animations and the old builder better defensive shading to match offensive shading back into the game just shooting 3s and speed boosting with 9 animations for 9 seasons horrible my career and fortnite battle pass! this is what has become of 2k and no matter if the world bands together the company won't change if the game has all of these features? We would give up our money without a doubt because it would be worth it, they make changes how 2k sees it fit for them not for us in the community.
