    I started doing calisthenics as a source of regular fitness and your videos inspires me and I am thankful for it. I hope I can get the right conditioning without injuries and, if not achieving none of this skills, to at least keep me in shape. Thank you bro! 🔥🔥

    Why Calisthenics on rings? this is closer to Gymnastics more than Calisthenics, especially for the lack of bent arms which are usually what defines a Calisthenics routine on rings, there were guys keeping RTO on planche and guys training in Artistic Gymnastics gyms in this video lmao

    • @art_of_defying_gravity

      There may be no difference in what they do. But as far as i know none of these athletes have had a professional gymnastics coach in their journey. Pretty impressive right?
      This series of videos is simply meant to show that it is possible to achieve elite skills with few resources. If you have a better title idea tell me...

      @@art_of_defying_gravity I'm pretty sure the 1st and the 2nd athlete have been gymnasts or have been training gymnastics in the past, 1st guy did an almost perfect azarian opening and swallow to nakayama, you don't learn that with few resources, 2nd guy is training in an Artistic Gymnastics gym and is training inverted cross to swallow transitions, again, not something you learn with few resources and these elements aren't even included in any code of points of any calisthenics competition. The better idea would be to omit these clips since they don't belong to the sport you're talking about. For example vol. 2 is much, much better and is targeted towards calisthenics. There's also another dude who pointed out the exact same thing as I did on the comments btw.

    How should that be calisthenics. I mean it’s completely gymnastics almost every time. Just hanging your rings outside a gymnastics hall doesn’t make the elements calisthenics.

    • @robertcasey1708
      @robertcasey1708 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      By definition, all gymnastics is calisthenics. But I get what you mean, although a subset of calisthenics culture honours gymnastics, both with the style of training and skill demonstration

      Rings is a wonderful addition to your calisthenic routine.
      I use them all the time outside, and muscle up, levers and planche are the basics calisthenics move.
      The transitions between them are really hard though, mad respect to whoever achieves them by themselves

      Gymnasts specialise in the rings easily as they have years of conditiong and coaching done from young where as street workout athletes are self taught and built the strength themselves
