Please help!!! Just brought this and everything is working until I press the “play/cut” button - it moves and then unloads the vinyl itself and on design space the cutting stays at 0%..What do I need to do?? Thankyou xx

Can you use a HP Chromebook
Cricut Design Space wasn't originally compatible with Chromebook but there are many work arounds that I've seen online.

Do you have to set up a blade first or something? I followed all the steps but its not cutting
When you set up a new Cricut machine, the blade comes pre-installed in the machine, so you do not need to install it separately; it should be ready to use right out of the box. @@JenniferMaker Yea, turns out you need to open the "B" latch to let the blade drop. That was no where in the cricut guide looool. Took 2 days, a software dev, and an animator to figure out the blade wasnt dropped down
Shopping and deciding on a new machine - I have the joy which I love (my intro) and it got me hooked. Was going to get an Air 2 - other than Smart materials does the Explorer 3 do anything more? (I do not care about cutting fabric - I'm a pretty basic stuff gal.). And I HATE HATE smart materials (ok EZ to weed) from using my Joy. So not interested at all in that. Compared two the Air 2 what would be the advantage of the Maker? Not maker 3 - I don't need all that for sure. Posting on FB gets me so many different personal opinions, I just want the facts about the machines and comparison of them. Thank you. Your videos and tutorials and free things are FABULOUS!!! And as one teacher to another (I lead Bible study, taught school, teach dog obedience and give seminars, taught/teach spinning and weaving and pysanky writing) you are a very good teacher. You don't take it for granted that we "got" it or already know it. Your demo are awesome (wouldn't be doing anything in DS w/o your video - using iPad for most part.)

Hello there! I have just gone through this video and set up my new Cricut Explore 3 that I received for Christmas. I am a previous Cricut user (using an old expression for over 10 years). This is the first time with any connectivity. First question I have is when using cardstock (regular 65# or 110#), do I use a mat? Will the mats I have from the expression days work in this new machine? My next question is about downloading cut files/images to cut. There may be a video for that as well or it may be in the handbook that's printing! :) I will keep searching and hopefully find the answer on my own, but thought I'd as in the meantime! Thanks so much for the video! I followed along perfectly and connected both my iMac and my iPhone!
If your material is NOT Smart material, you have to use a mat. You need to use the mats like in my video. 💕
What is the best model for use with an ipad?
You can use all the Cricut machines that use Design Space with an up to date iPad. A computer will give you the most options.
What if the load/unload button is not blinking when it’s supposed to when doing the test cut?
Sounds like a step may be missing. You can start over again.

I have installed my cricut explore 3 on my Android and I skipped the trial. However I don't have the option for a test cut, have I done something wrong?
the test cut only shows on the initial setup. You can always do your own test cut by putting a shape on your canvas 🥰
I don't uderstand my Cricutmaker 3. The cutting width on the machine is 13 inches but all my vinyl is in 12 inches. I guess I didn't realiize the viny was sold in 12 inches. Now I'm stuck with a lot of vinyl I can only use with a mat. All the vinyl on Amazon is the 12" kind.
Only the smart vinyl can be used without a mat. All the other materials need to go on the mat.
I was so excited to get this for Christmas but I'm having a hard time getting to the test cut page. I got the design space but the test cut page doesn't come up. Maybe because I set it up a couple of weeks ago and didn't do the test right away? I searched test cut and cricut bugs pop up, so I selected a cute one and put my test vinyl in but the light isn't flashing. I opened and closed the B blade area a few times, but no flashing light! What should I do? Did I miss something? You are so thorough I can't imagine I missed something. Help!
To go back to the initial setup for a test cut on your Cricut machine, simply reconnect your machine to your computer, open Cricut Design Space, and follow the on-screen prompts for a new machine setup; this will guide you through the process of selecting your material and performing a test cut using the default settings. help.cricut.com/hc/en-us/articles/360009430394-How-to-register-a-Cricut-cutting-machine

Hi am new and I got message that says 5USB not recommended and I am not sure what that means but I was able to go all the way to the sample cut and I loaded the smart vinyl then it was blinking I pushed it then it never did show the cut button never lit up I feel so stupied
You are not stupid! If you are using the USB cable try using a different USB port on your computer.🥰
