@Garudanime@Garudanime of course East West Quantum Leap Pianos is a very good high quality Piano Plugin (Bechstein, Steinway, Bosendorfer, Yamaha - Pianos) . Orchestral Brass from projectsam and Strings from LA scoring strings (audiobro) or symphobia (projectsam).
His library is custom developed. He recorded the London Philharmonics in the London AIR Studio. Each sound was recorded with 16 different mic positions, so he doesn't need any hall plugin. He also has a lot of synthesizers and other sound-libraries. He uses Pro Tools for his mix. You can buy these libraries. Just Google for "orchestra libraries".
OMG 3:27-3:44 "you're too relaxed actually, i mean what is this? ...This is SHOWBUSINESS...:D You know they're recording your music right here... - I know, but I know they won't be getting it right for awile so i can chill while they learn" (100 people are playing for hours, Deadline and stressing, and when finished) 4:10-4:16 "I thought that was excellent, OK GO HOME, you miserable bunch of pirates.." I admire Hans Zimmer but thats.. well.. a lil COLD tho :D
My question is what does he use beside Cubase? Does he just use its standard orchestral sounds until he's ready for an actual orchestra, or does he have some top-of-the-line sampler? I use Logic, which is said to equal Cubase, but the included instruments aren't particularly impressive; I don't know if the same goes for Cubase.
@Thot758 can you give me some names of good piano / orchestra vst plugins please? the best i have now are Omnisphere and Native Instruments Komplete 5. i would like to know some more

Hey, 1:54 - I saw a piano roll; that's how I compose, too!

Yeah, but he also goes right on to record it live, so I wasn't sure.
16? Wow, that's gotta use up more memory than the Pentagon. I'd be happy with Symphonic Orchestra. o_O

Cubase.
What's being played at 2:40?
track 14 "Tortuga", check out the "Home" soundtrack by Armand Amar while you're at it, I am sure you'll like it too
you have also in POTC 4 mermaids or edward teach's death
instruments and effects included in sequencers are always mediocre
