UPDATE: Literally the day after I dropped this video, Module 2 was slightly altered. All of the mobs seem to have the same spawns, but the portals now spawn at the *top of the pyramid* and the special chest now spawns *underneath the pyramid.* As briefly mentioned in the video, the underneath section is accessed by pulling any of the levers on the wall of the module and then going down one of the resulting large pits that open up. There are two of the frost spiders that sometimes explode wandering around down there, and then one giant ice spider in the ceiling above the chest. Make sure to watch out for the rows of wall spikes on the center walls around the room the chest is in. They can be avoided simply by crouching. Good luck everyone!
Please make one for every map. Ice Caverns? The map before this Ice Abyss. Crypts and Inferno. Or any other guide using Wizard. Great great stuff! Subbed!
Hey champ. Love your videos. Started playing as a wizard (f2p) a few weeks ago and have otherwise been through a majority of your stuff. Was extremely hard and felt pretty worthless at first, but lately I have been destroying through PvP & PvE with ease using only starting gear boots/gloves/spellbook. This game has a ton of information that I would not have ever learned or even come close to learning if you did not make it clear. Personally I have been running manasurge or fire mastery/quickchant/arc-mastery/sage with meditation even for everything. Depending on where you are at, range, and your map knowledge you can sometimes make enough time to get your meditation off and then come at them with a full set of all the spells you just threw at them and honestly it can feel downright unfair to everyone else if done right.
Another little trick I learned with meditation is, it continues to get your spells back while coming out of the animation so you can end it early depending on how many ticks are left to get all your spells up and stand up sooner.
FYI if you have a good bit of knowledge, you can start standing up at 6.5 charges of magic missiles and youll have the full number of spell charges by the time you stand up from meditate!
@@haydenmcdonald4087 I did know I could get away with standing up a little early, but never calculated exactly *how* early. I imagine that action speed comes into the equation a little too because the standup/sitdown speed is impacted by that, but your number probably is far off from being universally the case!
@@SqueakyFrankit definitely changes based on how much knowledge u have. i havent tested the lower knowledge, but i have been running at least 35 every game and i can start standing at 6.5-6.75 charges of MM and it will fully recharge by the time i stand up. its good to know for mid-combat meditating! u can press the button, wait until u just barely start the channel, and then immediately cancel and get back up. u will get at least 1 spell slot from every single spell, if not 2 with high knowledge.
Amazing content. Im a huge wizard fan and still have a lot to learn, stuff like this helps a lot. Any plan on an inferno guide? Also, love your pvp breakdowns.
@SqueakyFrank awesome!! I've been playing DaD for a while and hardly ever explore those deeper dungeons because I hate to just die immediately lol I can't wait to give them a try
In your runs did you clear / loot much of the first floor to achieve the 1800+ AP per run? I'm wondering if I should bother clearing the first floor, or if it's better to just wait by the abyss entrance until it opens up and only focus on the second floor if my goal is to maximize AP?
@@BakedCanadian To maximize AP you definitely need to be active on the first floor. Prioritize killing as many mobs as possible, and just loot Golden and Lion’s Head chests.
@@Dizney1 IMO it’s not worth going to Abyss as a solo wiz unless you’re running bonk or meditate. Clearing with just a raw crystal sword would be so slow you would be lucky to clear more than 1 module per run, and I don’t ever run bonk. The primary reason for going to Abyss is to speedrun all the good loot, so it only makes sense to run a build that can do that well. Also worth noting that ever since the meditate buff, I run mediate even when I am going for just PvP. Being able to full reset your spells in like 10 seconds helps tremendously when dealing with third parties or if your enemy ducks back to heal. The build I’m displaying in the video is exactly what I use to PvP with in Ice Cavern in general.
Bro i see you on west ice caves duos all the time, im just trying to farm the boss and you and that lock are geared asf so i always take boat. Why yall always in bis lmao
