Kanade actually made a couple of mistakes here and there. If Kanata had picked up on those, or is just more used to the game in general, she could've easily won quite a few times.

Kanata's basic competence in being able to not lose and compulsive need to block at every turn did help to create a long game, shame she failed at counting on that last turn
Only need to know 2 basics : a) Start blocking any 3 in a row so that opponent doesn't win. b) Try to place an intersecting 3 in a row that are not blocked on both rows so what you win.
2.20 i think kanata would’ve won if she put the black go in between the right most go, so it connects 3 diagonally, 3 vertically (with 1 gap to connect 5), kanade couldnt block diagonally cuz kanata could’ve filled the gap on the bottom and won, and kanade couldnt block vertically cuz kanata would’ve gotten 4 unblocked diagonal pieces.
Kanade has the psychological advantage with that slow mocking voice.
