You take your time and even when the person tries to deflect you come back gracefully and ask the same question a bit differently. And I do feel like this is a safe place for black woman. Thank you. 🙏🏾
Let me just say I LOVED Selling Tampa! It was very inspirational to see black women making a lane for themselves in real estate. They honestly need another season ASAP!
I seen how he acted when they brought that up. Then he cheats and she took him back. He will never change. Idk what's wrong with some women some don't know their worth and will settle for whatever just to have somebody
Netflix at this point hire Jess because she saving and demolishing your shows. YALL NEED HER!!!! All jokes aside loved this interview. Sherelle thank you for explaining what was going on because girl I was looking at you sideways but we good now lol
This is a strong interview. Jessie was more serious and less animated. Although I love how animated she is in her reviews, for interviews, this was her at her best!
The way Jessie offered her critique as viewer of the show. She never bashed the show, she just stated what she wish they could’ve showed. Lawd I love my sista!!
I opened my own real estate brokerage last year January and I won’t lie, I still repeat selling tampa to get motivation, because to me I saw a show that is more realistic and something I can relate to.
I definitely admire Sharelle’s hard work as a black woman. No one is perfect, we all have our flaws but no one can take that away from her. Wishing her the best Love to see you grow as well Jessie! Great interview
I was so disappointed that Netflix didn’t bring back selling Tampa it was better than other reality shows in my opinion I was tired of seeing drinks thrown at each other and fighting all the time and selling Tampa was breath of fresh air it was good to see women about their hustle and less drama
Jess, you’re really showcasing your entertainment and interviewing skills in such a positive way! I’m sure Sherelle has learned a lot from her WAGS experience, but you’re also giving her a great opportunity for PR and a platform to share her truth after the “mean girl” saga . It’s cool to see you carving out this niche-not just offering pop culture opinions like you did with Love Is Blind, but really digging into intent, accountability, and personal growth. I appreciate how you’re fostering conversations about healing and forgiveness among cast members. ‘WAGS to riches’ indeed-this is a great way to use your platform!
I'm proud of these ladies, too. I appreciate Sharelle overdosing on interviews to make sure we know she is not a colorist or a bully. If I was perceived as something as horrific as a colorist, I would fight to clear that perception too.
Lol if Donald Trump goes on a media tour saying he's not a racist does that make him not racist? Does his actions and words no longer hold value? BW are so weak smh, catering to all these mixed women.
I went and watched Selling Tampa because of this show. Kudos to Sharelle, y’all do not have no clue how difficult it is being Black in Miami and trying to be successful. We need more of ‘Us’ down there. Props to Jessie for doing this interview as well.
I have told a friend or two that what they did or said was colorist. Doesn’t mean I believe they are a full blown colorist but I needed them to take accountability for what they did. Just bc you don’t hate dark skinned women and can exist in the same spaces doesn’t mean that can’t display moments of colorism. Just take the critique, apologize and never do it again. Yall it’s okay to be accountable and then do better
Most people aren’t even educated about colorism and go off of “intention, “how they feel” or of the have a dark skin family member. Therefore thier proximity to dark skin women can be highly damaging and exploitive when not centering those most oppressed amongst you.
@@tiffyq7794 I asked her to do this. She did not calculate anything. I wanted to interview her because I have been trying to do so since Selling Tampa.
@@TheeJessieWoo well why didn't she do an interview with you back then? She said no then but yes now??? Hmmm. I'm sorry, I think its calculated as well. Your platform was the perfect message to show "I'm not colorist."

Excellent interview!🎉 I love how you first check in with your guest before starting the conversation. You give them a chance to speak, give their perspective, but also hold them accountable and push back respectfully. More interviews please!
People’s experiences can shape how they see some of these shows. As someone who is lightskin who has a dark skin mother, I understood why she mentioned her mother. My mother is the most beautiful woman in my eyes compared to anyone, I could never see a woman as less than that shares her complexion. But everyone won’t understand that dynamic.
I watched all 8 episodes. While I think Sharelle did not clarify well in this interview her reasons for referring to Stoni as a hoodlum and not MaJae, I do not think she is a colorist. I get from Sharelle that she wants all women, esp black women to win. But if anyone on that show has protrayed themselves as a hoodlum and as Jessie said in real time it would be MaJae. Let's call a spade a spade!
Yes very true. While it does look like colorism; i think stoni was just in her cross hairs cuz she didn't like her. In Selling Tampa Sharelle happened to have a dark skinned woman who was her second in command at her company and a close friend.
Excellent interview Jess! This is what everyone thought they were going to get out of the Carlos King interview, her telling us more about her self and good interview questions.
Some interviewers need to take a tip from you. Even though you had some critical views of Sherrell you structured your questions in a way that let her combat some of the narrative. She wasn’t offended because you were kind and open about opinions. Great job Jess.
I love this!!! NETFLIX PEOPLE, NETFLIX PEOPLE JESS NEEDS TO HOST THE REUNION, PAY HER TOP DOLLA TO DO IT TOO!!! She asked the questions we all want answers too!!!

Loved watching this so much I had to subscribe. Despite all the mean girl accusations on the show and seeing the way some things were filmed, I had a gut feeling Sharelle was my girl and this interview affirmed that feeling. This is an example of how nuance and context is necessary before judging someone and a situation.
I’m glad you had Sherelle on. I don’t think she is a colorist. I loved seeing all of the beautiful black women of different colors that she empowered on “selling Tampa” we have to stop assuming colorism every time a light skin and dark skin woman don’t get along. She is NOT Evelyn!
My daughter and I love Sharelle. She’s wise , intelligent , beautiful, articulate and tenacious. We literally went back to Real estate by watching her……
At first, when I started watching this, I won't lie-| felt a bit disappointed, Jess. But as it went on, you really made me proud. You asked the right questions while still maintaining respect, and that balance is so important in conversations like this. One of my main concerns was why we haven't seen this kind of interaction before. Of course, disagreements will always happen, especially when people aren't friends, and that's completely normal. But it's also crucial for discussions to be fair and open, allowing everyone to express themselves without bias. People also need to understand that colorism is a very broad and complex issue. It's not just about light skin vs. dark skin-it goes deeper into representation, privilege, and how society perceives and treats individuals based on their skin tone. These conversations need to be approached with honesty and sensitivity because they affect real lives in so many ways. On top of that, it also triggers many of us who have experienced bullying because of our skin tone. This isn't just a theoretical conversation-it's something that has caused real pain for so many people. When we talk about colorism, we're not just debating opinions; we're sharing personal experiences that have shaped who we are. That's why it's frustrating when people dismiss or downplay these issues instead of truly listening. Speaking of listening, I also felt that Stoni really tried to explain her story, but y'all were just not hearing her out. It's disappointing because everyone deserves the space to share their truth, especially on a platform that's meant to encourage understanding. If we're going to have these discussions, we need to do better at actually listening to each other, not just waiting to respond. I also feel like part of the reason things didn't flow as well was that some of the girls were already friends, which created a sense of division. When you go into a discussion like this, especially on a topic as sensitive as colorism, it's important that everyone has an equal chance to be heard without any existing friendships making it feel one-sided or unfair. Overall, this was a step in the right direction, and I appreciate the effort. I just hope that moving forward, we continue having these conversations in a way that allows for real understanding and growth.
Sharelle keeps saying she’s not colorist because her mom is darkskin 🙄 what does that have to do with anything? I don’t think her colorism is intentional but it is definitely in her subconscious mind. People can say a lot by saying nothing at all. You can tell by her team, they are all light skinned and everyone she appears to give her energy to are light skinned, regardless of how ghetto they are…like MJAE.
Your statement is important because dismantling colorism should be intentional “work” - with a heavy lean on those who benefit from it most. Therefore they should be highly educated on the matter to “consciously” push back on it and center darker skinned black women. Many of her statements defending herself push the “reverse colorism” fallacy - which is highly problematic. It’s simple - you must educate yourself without relying on how you “feel” or that you have a “dark skinned family member” (aka I have a black friend) talking points.
This context makes sense. She apologized, and it seems both she and Stoni (who didn't know each other to begin with) moved on, so idk why anyone else will be stuck on it. Anyone who supports Jules is also weird.
This interview redeemed Sharelle in my eyes. She irritated the hell out of me while watching the show but as I get to experience her in real time I can see there's no malice. I'm seeing she truly is just a direct, regulated, yet beautiful person who empowers black women and means well, despite the narrative reality tv is painting of her. We all have messy moments we share with friends so I can't judge her for Netflix deciding to only highlight that. I hope she uses this experience as fuel for her motivation to continue to do better, nourish herself, and grow ❤
Wow, Sharelle is such a beautiful woman (bare-faced)-love her freckles. Love everything about her, empowering women who people looked down on due to their past, her independence, and go-getter mentality.
Sharelle Is a such a beautiful black woman❤️❤️❤️ I love the entire cast, they’re all gorgeous but my FAVORITE is always going to be Sadé Vanessa, I just think she is breathtaking

I dont know this woman to have an opinion on her and she seems like a nice lady. But her having a dark skinned mom is not really an answer to the question. Sometimes your mom or family being something is exactly why you can have issues with it.
You beautiful young ladies are keeping Auntie in the know. I truly hope that Chad and Sharelle can mend their differences and get their family back together. Dont come for me now😂😂😂. That is just the old school in me!
Some people may be a colorist and might not even know it. It may just be so deep rooted. I've read many stories about the dark skin mother and the light skin daughter... I wonder if she experienced any colorism from her family members as a young girl...
Gurrrl i'm telling you, if you ever hang out with a Cuban or a dominican chile. Them people are very colorist and i experienced that very much while i used to live in Florida. It was madness gurrrl....
I like Sharrell but I’m not going to lie about my second hand embarrassment after watching her tell the story of Chad going to McDonalds after smashing and not getting her anything. The least you can do is feed a dog and you can even do that. Girllll…. Not only doesn’t that man love you, he doesn’t respect you
Whew clocked it! Not Sherelle referencing they don’t call each other animals names to use colorism circa Evelyn Lozada calling OG a “ monkey” on BBW. It was repulsive. Refreshing and in-depth interview Jessie❤ Netflix has a corner office for you in 2025! Blessings✨🙏🏽
I still believe Sharelle is a mean girl and a colorist. To try and say youre a victim before because youre light skinned is telling. it also sounds like this show has some continuity issues in terms of editing and story lines.
Sharelle needs to realize that she’s not perfect at all. She’s a colorist (it was literally shown on the show and if your not darkskin, plz stfu cause colorism doesn’t effect you), I’m not sure why someone who is has there 11th child with someone with 3 baby mamas, is complaining about someone whose sex tape was exposed by there ex without there consent. Like literally don’t piss me off.
Girl, Sharelle is just a strong woman. I don’t understand why everybody is trying to dislike or villainize her. I see her as just being strong and direct. None of the other ladies are perfect or innocent themselves, so let’s not pretend that they are….
I love Sharelle. I think people are mistaking confidence for being mean. I just see a bunch of insecure folks finding fault with this woman! Thank you Journalist Jessie, I thoroughly enjoyed this interview❤
After seeing this interview, I’m realizing that Cherelle is not situationally aware of how her audience perceives her. Because I did see him side eye, her a couple times, he did disappear after the prenup talk, some other little things that took place that made me question the foundation of their relationship.

They should bring back Selling Tampa. That’s my positive comment about WAGS to Riches.
Come onnn fresh face frecklessss 🤩🤩🤩
I did not feel colorism in the show but I definitely felt elitism.
you are soooo supportive ! i love this
Love the show Jesse and love sherelle Great job love it😂❤😂
Wags is just another show full of racially ambiguous women. Screaming at each other
Stop!!
Love the interview Jessie🫶🏾
Some people may be a colorist and might not even know it. It may just be so deep rooted. I've read many stories about the dark skin mother and the light skin daughter... I wonder if she experienced any colorism from her family members as a young girl...
This! The bias is embedded in you subconsciously
Gurrrl i'm telling you, if you ever hang out with a Cuban or a dominican chile. Them people are very colorist and i experienced that very much while i used to live in Florida. It was madness gurrrl....
Exactly. Thank you!
I like Sharrell but I’m not going to lie about my second hand embarrassment after watching her tell the story of Chad going to McDonalds after smashing and not getting her anything. The least you can do is feed a dog and you can even do that. Girllll…. Not only doesn’t that man love you, he doesn’t respect you
Stoni said that story about Sharelle!
She's so pretty with her frecklesss 😍
Congrats Sharelle !🎉I know you are a praying woman so continue praying 🙏🏽
I still believe Sharelle is a mean girl and a colorist. To try and say youre a victim before because youre light skinned is telling. it also sounds like this show has some continuity issues in terms of editing and story lines.
Crying about reverse colorism is insane, ignorant and dangerous. Very telling indeed
Jessie I love the work u putting at there🎉💕
Sharelle needs to realize that she’s not perfect at all.
Great Interview Jessie!!
Jess, I just found a black show on Netflix called Buried by the Bernards, Black owned funeral home but the characters are hilarious. I'm on episode 2
Yeah, i think it was cancelled years ago
top tier interview...love you sistaaahhhs!!
Girl, Sharelle is just a strong woman. I don’t understand why everybody is trying to dislike or villainize her. I see her as just being strong and direct. None of the other ladies are perfect or innocent themselves, so let’s not pretend that they are….
Sharelle can have as many brown people as she wants, it’s obvious that she does not understand colorism 🤷🏾♀️
I love Sharelle. I think people are mistaking confidence for being mean. I just see a bunch of insecure folks finding fault with this woman! Thank you Journalist Jessie, I thoroughly enjoyed this interview❤
Be so forreal… there’s a difference between being mean and being confident. The lack of accountability in the black community is crazy.
I like Sherelle! I think she is getting a lot of unjust hate. Keep grinding Sherelle 💪🏾....you have got this. ❤
After seeing this interview, I’m realizing that Cherelle is not situationally aware of how her audience perceives her. Because I did see him side eye, her a couple times, he did disappear after the prenup talk, some other little things that took place that made me question the foundation of their relationship.
