I love faith and spikes redemption journey from being villains earlier in the show to being there at the end as good guys next to Buffy ..they could have stayed evil but they chose to be good ...I mean spike went from being the sneaky asshole with a chip in his head as a leash from killing to sacrificing himself to save the world in the end if that isn't love and redemption I don't know what is ...

I love this Observation and agree. I think it kind of happened when her and buffy had their heart to heart in the bedroom. It was a little earlier in the season, right after the Bringer ambush in the tunnel. they got discuss their power in a real "walk in my shoes" type of way. Faith got to finally see what it was like to truly be the slayer at point. I think there was when they found a mutual respect for each other; more profound than ever before.
Need to stop watching these videos of shows from my childhood. I grew up in London and I remember vividly every Thursday evening taking control of the TV to watch Buffy. Watching these videos just makes me long for the 90s and early 00s. Great memories of a better time.

All these years later I tear up how she smiles knowing that all she has been through and she can finally rest however not in peace. You see her story come full circle after dying and coming back. She deserves to live the life she has always wanted.

I'm sure all of that came later. They were all overwhelmed by everything; the battle, the deaths, the entire town being gone, all coming after months and months of constant stress and worry about the First. You can bet that once the initial shock wore off, every single one of them grieved for the ones that died. And it wouldn't have fit with the tone of the last scene if they showed it.
When I say I cried when Buffy ended, you’d have thought I’d gone through the worst heartbreak of my entire life. I was a truly diehard fan. I have so, so much memorabilia, still to this day. I treasure it dearly ♥️ The first and only series that dominated my teenage years. What a ride it was!

My parents got Netflix around the time it first came out & it was summer time. Both my parents worked so it was great having something I could watch so much on. I remember logging in & setting up my profile, scrolling through on what to watch & I came across Buffy. I immediately clicked, I watched the whole show throughout the summer & I still remember to this day.. when I watched the final episode, the way I felt. How heartbroken I was bc spike sacrificed himself, sad bc so many characters died 💔 I cried so much bc the show became my family & when buffy smiled & the credits rolled.. I felt this hole in my soul, this show means so so to me even NOW. I was probably in like 9 or 10th grade when I watched it so i was 16ish. I'm 27 now & ill forever love this show 💗💗💗💗
Wow! Never realised that Netflix was going so long,it only arrived this side of the pond in 2012! I attempted to watch it when I still lived in Italy and,being dubbed into Italian,which was an issue for me,I thought “why do they want to make the librarian,Giles,look like a stereotypical stuffy English man in his tweeds?!” Then when I returned to England in 2002 my brother bought the DVD sets as they were released.I couldn’t believe that a 44 year old man would want to watch this “rubbish”. He said I’d love it,I had my doubts. It was the first series of its genre I’d ever watched,although my favourite book is “Dracula” by Bram Stoker,being a Dubliner and all 😉 But as soon as I finished the first episode I was hooked! Did not realise that Giles was actually English 😳😂🤣😂 Still have a “sofa boogie” when the credits roll,best theme music for me,I never skip past it,same with “Angel”! I’m now 57 and have just rewatched the whole series and yesterday I cried like an idiot at the last scene with Spike 😢❣️And my 63 year old brother says he still misses Buffy! That series made more of an impact than it realises. Best EVER in its genre.Hands down! 💚🇮🇪

I only knew his words in german synchronisation and always had the feeling like he didn't care much about her death. With his breathing it's a bit better in the original. I expected him to say it more suffering, but they all went through hell moments before. So he andwered with his body full of adrenaline and exhaustion, I guess. I was a teenager that time. Today I see it differently and understand why they let him act this way. But still makes me sad and angry that they chose her to die! 😄
My only complaint is that the newer series will be a reboot. I Honestly have grown up with Buffy and I wanted to see what SHE did next. She was a superhero who didn't ask for it, but ended up with an amazing victory sitting in her lap as she grew as a person..... I have had visions and dreams of the kind of things they could do with the Buffyverse.... ..But they're just making a reboot instead. JOSSSSS!!!! :angryface:
It's not a reboot. The writer of the new series is working closely with Joss and she's confirmed that it will be a continuation within the same universe. Doubt it will have much if any of the old cast but it's still better than remaking it like they did with Charmed.
There is a continuation of Buffy's story after the series in the comic books. It had some pretty nice moments like Willow becoming even more powerful and Giles death, and the betraying of the new slayers.

Just seen the finale full ep...what a joke, THAT was the entire franchise finale😆. It was rushed, only scene that felt sincere or important was Buffy and Spike before he died. The part where Spike was punching the punch bag with a pic of angels face he drew was the highlight, hilarious.

This was a great series finale. This whole show was fantastic. 1:30 , 2:01 , 2:31 , 3:20 and 4:12 My only two complaints are: Anya died before she and Xander could get back together, and that it wasn’t until his noble sacrifice that Buffy finally realized that she did love Spike.
I have never seen or read the comics. Where can I buy them from? I’ve never actually been into comics,expect the ones as a kid,so I’ve no idea where to go for this Super Hero genre 🤷🏻♀️
I think they kinda messed up a little with the Ubervamps especially after the first one we see kicked Buffy's ass From what I've read there hasn't been a real reason as to why they were so weak so the fight with the Uber army should have had a different ending compared to the one we got

I think season 6 had some really good episodes in it, and bad willow was a really cool villain and good ending to the series. I do agree with you on season 7 though, I think that most of season 7 was quite badly casted with some of the potential slayers and there wasn’t really any stand out episodes but the storyline it followed was a good one. And I think the ending really I redeemed it, I’d say worth the watch:) even though season 5 had an amazing ending too

Wonder what happened to Cordelia's parents? Did they leave long before Sunnydale was destroyed? They lost their money because they weren't paying their taxes somehow. Buffy must've tried to call her father after Sunnydale was destroyed to let him know that she & Dawn are okay.

I’m now 57 and have just rewatched the whole series and yesterday I cried like an idiot at the last scene with Spike 😢❣️And my 63 year old brother says he still misses Buffy! That series made more of an impact than it realises. Best EVER in its genre.Hands down! 💚🇮🇪
@@lourdesbaby964 in 1996 when Buffy came out I was a 12 years old arkward preteen who was unsure about my sexuality at the time .I wanted to be normal and straight so .going into junior high I was so timid and afraid so I would regularly get bullied ..1 day in the 6th grade this bully was relentlessly picking on me and teasing me for being me ..I was too afraid to stand up to this asshole bully .untill I started watching Buffy ..( I also love the opening theme music too).but with each episode I watched of Buffy I became more self assured within myself and how I faced a hostile world without crumbling .. boys my age at time liked Superman and Batman ..I loved and still love Buffy as the best superhero , better than Superman
@imeverywhereandnowhere56 no, what I meant was when Netflix first came to be in existence, my parents got it for me at that time bc it was during summer vacation & they both worked so it gave me something to do. Buffy was the first thing I watched on it 😄

I only knew his words in german synchronisation and always had the feeling like he didn't care much about her death. With his breathing it's a bit better in the original.
I expected him to say it more suffering, but they all went through hell moments before. So he andwered with his body full of adrenaline and exhaustion, I guess.
I was a teenager that time. Today I see it differently and understand why they let him act this way.
But still makes me sad and angry that they chose her to die! 😄

My only complaint is that the newer series will be a reboot. I Honestly have grown up with Buffy and I wanted to see what SHE did next. She was a superhero who didn't ask for it, but ended up with an amazing victory sitting in her lap as she grew as a person..... I have had visions and dreams of the kind of things they could do with the Buffyverse....
..But they're just making a reboot instead.

It's not a reboot. The writer of the new series is working closely with Joss and she's confirmed that it will be a continuation within the same universe. Doubt it will have much if any of the old cast but it's still better than remaking it like they did with Charmed.
It's not a reboot, they've stated tons of times that Willow etc will still exist. It's a new series with a brand new slayer.
There is a continuation of Buffy's story after the series in the comic books. It had some pretty nice moments like Willow becoming even more powerful and Giles death, and the betraying of the new slayers.
Speaking of reboots, there’s also the Buffy comic reboot.

@@ivo3598Absolutely 👍🏼 I started rewatching Buffy during the last UK Lockdown as I’d reached the end of Supernatural 😭 and was still in the mood for that genre,but although there are some good series out there,nothing was gripping my attention.So I dusted off my DVD Set Box of Buffy and Angel and,it’s great to come in with Angel after Buffy Season 2,it just keeps the story flowing,but sometimes I get confused when they overlap,thinking maybe there might be spoilers either way 🤔

Just seen the finale full ep...what a joke, THAT was the entire franchise finale😆. It was rushed, only scene that felt sincere or important was Buffy and Spike before he died. The part where Spike was punching the punch bag with a pic of angels face he drew was the highlight, hilarious.
This was not the end of evil, just the series finale. A reboot is needed.

and let's remember the chapter where the girl says that she will die on Friday and that in the end it was true, only that she died of natural causes due to a heart problem, before that the girl tells Spike not to worry that she will tell him, I I think he was referring to this moment when Buffy tells him I love you.

This was a great series finale. This whole show was fantastic. 1:30 , 2:01 , 2:31 , 3:20 and 4:12 My only two complaints are: Anya died before she and Xander could get back together, and that it wasn’t until his noble sacrifice that Buffy finally realized that she did love Spike.

From what I've read there hasn't been a real reason as to why they were so weak so the fight with the Uber army should have had a different ending compared to the one we got

Loved the show but seasons 6-7 were horrendous. I showed my bf the series over quarantine and we purposely ended the series after season 5.
I think season 6 had some really good episodes in it, and bad willow was a really cool villain and good ending to the series. I do agree with you on season 7 though, I think that most of season 7 was quite badly casted with some of the potential slayers and there wasn’t really any stand out episodes but the storyline it followed was a good one. And I think the ending really I redeemed it, I’d say worth the watch:) even though season 5 had an amazing ending too
I also watched buffy during lockdown didnt enjoy the first 4 seasons but I did the others buffys attitude was alot nicer also I think she should have taken up with spike he was so damned hot
Wonder what happened to Cordelia's parents? Did they leave long before Sunnydale was destroyed? They lost their money because they weren't paying their taxes somehow. Buffy must've tried to call her father after Sunnydale was destroyed to let him know that she & Dawn are okay.
