Being in my 50's and having been onto fashion, beauty, makeup, etc, since I was 12 my family has known my passion for this topic for a long long time. And I am an almost hoarder. I seldom declutter, I don't and won't declutter what isn't mine, like hubby's, or stuff my children have still in my home, my babies are currently 33 and 31. Both went into the military after high school, so they really couldn't bring their belongings with them, and even though they are out and have/are in the process of transitioning to regular life, I still have their things. So I have a rather extremely large makeup collection, and it is mostly eyeshadow palettes. I also have a lot of clothes, purses and shoes.
@abigailkirkham9120 I have worn all but 3 pairs of shoes, they are new, and wear them all the time, I prefer to wear heals rather than flats. And I don't have any clothes at this time that don't fit. I am on a weight loss journey, for me no one else, and as I loose weight, my clothes are currently sorted by size. And a size becomes too big those are removed from my home. I like to go to thrift stores so when there if I see a clothing item I like, whether in my current size or a smaller size I will pick it up, I only purchase my current and 1 size smaller. If it is an item I absolutely love I will resize it. I love to sew. And I am currently resizing my body double. I've dropped a couple more sizes recently. I only bring into my home items I love. So things like do a Marie kondo cleanse of the home doesn't make sense to me. And yes I understand that sometimes esthetics change but until mine do, which I doubt, I live everything currently in my home. I do get rid of worn out, stained, and won't be caught in even at home clothes, I've worn heals daily since I hit 13. And tes even at home I will wear my heals around the house. Especially if they are new and need to be broke in, aka for finding all the spots that rub wrong. I will then find out why the shoe rubs wrong and hopefully find a solution to fix it, it's usually stitching and I will put a bandaid on it, thise really small ones work wonders.
I work in a mostly male customer based retail store and i do makeup like you and Angelica every single day. I am always doing very very bold and bright and crazy eyeshadow looks. I also have pink and purple hair and many many times a day customers will ask me why i do all of this or how long it takes because "they could never make the time for all that" and people will state how colorful i am (and sometimes it seems backhanded). Also i live in a small town and ive not seen one single other person wear makeup like this and boy do i stand out in a crowd and sometimes i hate it and other times it makes me happy. I also get random DMs from people online saying how much prettier i would be without all that makeup or they ask why i do that. I always feel i have to explain to everyone every day my reasons. Ive always been an artist, i stopped doing art when i became a heroin addict. Once i got clean it took awhile to feel normal again and thats when i started watching TH-cam beauty channels and fell in love!! Every single morning im so so so excited to go create art on my eyes. Its so so fun to me! I have collected way too much but its so awesome to me. It makes me happy, it brings me peace and it helps my self confidence (because i have a very low self esteem). Its a creative outlet and i adore it. And as far as time goes, i work a full time job and i make sure i wake up two hours early to get to play in makeup. Even if i have to leave for work by 3am haha
@butterflygirlbeauty a comment has never resonated with me more. I'm a herion addict as well. Actually, I'm a whatever is around addict. But heroin was the first drug I was ever addicted to. After my grandma and dad died three months apart. It was just too much. So many things you said are things I've lived through and felt. I spent so long explaining what I wanted and love. I still do it with some people. I'm working on it. My point is, I get it. I truly hate it so much that you get it, too. Just know that it can get better. There's so many people in this world who understand us. I read somewhere that the greatest artists have the most tortured souls. It makes sense. You really should watch the video I posted before this one, I think it will resonate with you. Remember you have a friend in me! I love the bright & beautiful!
My mom tells me allll the time that makeup is supposed to only enhance your natural beauty. It took me years to get her to understand that I don't wear makeup to feel beautiful (I mean, I don't mind that part.lol), but I love the artistic side to makeup. It's fun and creative for me. Now that you said it, I don't think anyone I knew from the small town I lived in wore makeup like me either. I was just too depressed to leave the house to notice..lol I didn't really get into colorful Makeup until I moved back into the city and started working again. I remember working at Amazon, and I got so many compliments, and I felt so backward when people would compliment me. Almost like they were laughing at me in their head. I can't lie though, once I got out of my head about it, it made me feel good. The town we live in now is small compared to where I was born, but it's not really small. I hope I never have to go back to a small town.
I live with chronic pain and depression and makeup and TH-cam are my happy place so I get it. My daughter is married to a woman and I am very much supportive and scream it from the rooftop😂 I do all the pride events to show my support for being loved no matter how you love. Your looks are inspiring, your excitement for beautiful things is what draws me into your videos, I'm much older and don't wear looks like I used too but I just love make-up which is why my collection is crazy😂. I'm not sure where my place in TH-cam is, that's why I haven't filmed lately, I just don't know what I want yet, hopefully I'll find my niche and I'll get back into it. Thank you for being real and raw and showing the saying this to shall pass, really is true.sennding best wishes to your little brother that he finds his way and can learn from your past. I have dealt with addiction behaviors within myself as well as my life and not many people can say, I made choices and they weren't great, but now I'm trying my hardest and that's good enough. You are enough, you should be proud of yourself, even tho I don't know you I can tell you've got a good heart and lovely soul. I always wanted to collab with glamlite, i always loved them but i started pulling away a bit because last couple palletes were dissapointing with formula. I will always buy the horror collections though so i can see a spooky skull themed collab lol My current new favorite brand is bella beaute bar and they are really taking the lead for me so far haha Anyhow i love your videos and this ones great too! Especially when so much of the world does lie, it's hard to know when you can let yourself trust someone. I've not always been an honest person, but the lows in my life have taught me a lot. I've lived with a lot of manipulators and liars in my life, and I've learned that's never who I want to be. My word is the most precious thing to me, I never want to be "that person" (the shitty one) in other people's stories. I just hope you know you can trust me, and even if you don't just yet, I know one day you will. My actions will show it. I get people asking my why I love makeup, and I tell them for me it's an art. Would they ask a painter why they are painting on a canvas 🤔 my face is my canvas, I get very inspired by eyeshadow and the different colours, I just love it and it's my time. I always say to people you need to take time out to do what you like to do and for me it's my makeup and watching TH-cam at the same time 😊 3 brands I would collab with, Blend Bunny because she always pushes me to think outside of the box and her matte formula blows my mind. Unearthly cosmetics because I just absolutely love the brand and Cosmic beauty because there matte formula is amazing and a fantastic price 😊

You should be so proud of yourself for the life you've made I've been through similar myself and i suffer from fibromyalgia but 2 weeks ago I started college with a mind to go to university ill be 41 when I graduate but I feel like everything in my life led me here I had my kids first enjoyed my little one for the last 5 years before he went to school full time now I feel like it's my time to make something more of myself xx

Makeup was and still is the thing that helps me a lot mentally and is an important creative outlet. On top of that, 2-3 years ago I had a „lifequake” when I finally realized that my husband is a narcissistic gaslighter that despises me and isn’t really supportive of me in his actions (words are not everything). Now, 2 years later I’m getting better and I’m in a loving relationship with someone who is always willing to listen and understand. It took a lot of suffering for me to finally understand, that I DO deserve better. Also, I’m finally treating my bruxism that causes me a lot of pain most of the days. Guys, always believe in yourself, understand that you are worthy of love and PLEASE invest in your health! It’s the most important thing!❤

All of them, she has 2 eye palettes, 1 blush palette and 1 eye/highlighter palette and I own them all, as a matter of fact they are my first affiliation. I learned of them through Darcy, the owner of Saints Angels Sinners, I'm so sad she decided to close, I was lifted their first palette from Darcy a few months prior to the announcement. And fell in love. The owner if MadWitch Cosmetics is a fellow TH-camr @notyourbasicsteph. She does wonderfully colorful looks like you do.

Hitting fifty this year then amount of ice shoes I have but don't wear and clothes I've kept back in case is quite a lot lol

All of them, she has 2 eye palettes, 1 blush palette and 1 eye/highlighter palette and I own them all, as a matter of fact they are my first affiliation. I learned of them through Darcy, the owner of Saints Angels Sinners, I'm so sad she decided to close, I was lifted their first palette from Darcy a few months prior to the announcement. And fell in love. The owner if MadWitch Cosmetics is a fellow TH-camr @notyourbasicsteph. She does wonderfully colorful looks like you do.
