    Great review! Would love to see a part 2 which shows various scenes filmed with this slider. I would think adding adjustable ramp control would be relatively easy firmware/software update to add, and agree highly desirable. Added to short list. Thank you!

    it's really smooth compared to others using the same slider, I noticed there are some jitter in their demo-footage.

      It's very smooth. Jitter, to be honest I haven't found a single slider without jitter, they all have a tiny bit when it starts or stops, so it all needs a tiny bit of editing. Actually the only slider I've ever used to not have jitter is an odd one, it's the Moza Slypod, that thing is a very weird contraption, but it's the smoothest ride you'll ever get, even on macro.

    If i go deep in macro this thing will bring another dimension for shots :)

      This actually works very well for macro, and if they add ramp control it'll be even better!

      I've had it for ages, just been taking my time testing it as it. I was also hoping Zeapon would add ramping control, much like they had in the app before updating it, but no luck so far. It's a great slider, with a ton of potential, the Micro 3 also looks pretty dope!

    Great video! One question: will it track moving objects too? Like e.g. my face?

      Once on a shoot, it was okay, a little bulky, smooth though.

    Great slider and 3-axis heads. Did you have any troubles balancing it?

      Thanks! Absolutely none, it's much faster to get up and running than my Edelkrone systems. It works very well, it's super smooth, like I mentioned though, the thing I miss is the ability to control the amount of ramp, especially in macro scenarios.

    Wow never seen a slider that has a variable pan speed to account for the distance to the target to keep it in the middle (except for that sci-fi laser shit from Edelkrone... Which is a billion bucks). Awesome review thanks!

    • @PhillipSkraba
      @PhillipSkraba  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am very, very impressed with the orbit this thing does, and I'm use the Micro 3 right now, and I love it even more! I have ALL the Edelkrone shit, and it's nice, but it costs a ton, is a pain in the ASS to setup with all the tension crap, and the laser is ok, not great. This setup, faster, easier and simpler, and they tell me they are working on ramp control, which I really, really need/want.

    Hey! Does the zeapon slider and tilt head system offer any speed ramping at the start or end of a movement yet?, to smoothly come to a stop? I heard it was gonna be a firmware update a while ago

    • @PhillipSkraba
      @PhillipSkraba  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No speed ramping adjustment, but apparently there is a generic ramp they stuck in there. I really want one I can control, I mean it was even available before the app was redesigned!

    would the head system work on an edelkrone slider?

    what on earth is horizontal load?

    • @PhillipSkraba
      @PhillipSkraba  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's the amount of weight we can place on the head and still have it work how it's meant to, as for vertical load, that'll be a lot less as it's harder for it to lift or pan than it is for it to slide or pan.

    How much better this than edelkron

    • @PhillipSkraba
      @PhillipSkraba  ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, I’m not sure I’d say better, different design. Edelkrone allows for full ramping control, Zeapon has it generically built in, that makes a huge difference if you’re shooting macro as the Edelkrone can be much smoother at start and stop. The Zeapon needs no tension adjustments, the Edelkrone does and that can be a huge pain in the ass sometimes. They have certain differences that will be important depending on your work style.

    • @PhillipSkraba
      @PhillipSkraba  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CocombeeStudio If you cut out the start stop footage, sure, the Zeapon has an advantage as you don't have to worry about tension adjustment, which can slow you down.
