Thank you for the very comprehensive tutorial on the HD 9. I just purchased one and your tutorial will be very helpful. And thank you for the lesson on thread. I never knew. Now I will know how to thread both types for optimal results.
I’m watching this a year after it came out and I would just like to say this is the best explanation on tension and problems associated with it. Your teaching style is very thorough. Thank you!
Thank you, this is the best instructional video I have seen. I feel so much more comfortable to get started. You are awesome at teaching. Thank you again.
WOW! I've had my HD9 for 3 years and have never seen a tutorial as comprehensive as this one. Now that I know so much more about my machine and how to operate it I'll love it even more!
Thank you for this excellent video. I found your presentation of the facts clear and easy to follow. I feel confident that when I have my new HD9 machine I can rewatch this and be know I am doing things correctly. Thank you also for covering the maintenance of the machine.
Your video has me sold! I've been searching for a quality bag making machine recently and have been pondering between a Juki and a Janome semi-professional. Your most thorough overview and tutorial of this machine has helped me to solidify my decision. Thank you.... you've got another subscriber.
The most comprehensive fab set of instructions. So wonderful I subscribed straight away. Thanks for sharing, so happy to find mine was V2, which would have meant nothing to me but for your video. Appreciate ❤
BEST tutorial and class EVER!!! Thank you so much! I am so glad I found you I have had this exact machine for months! And now, I can get going on it! Got yourself a new subscriber! Thank you Grace!
Sometimes you might think what you do isn’t very important. But it is I was ready to get rid of my HD9 I hated it. But now my stitch is beautiful…still can’t get the thread cutter to work but I know I’m not alone in that . Thank you sewing machine Angel
Could you do a video on thread weights and usage for the H9, please. Love this video, I have had my H9BE for almost a year and have never even turned it on!!
Aurefil for quilting, gutterman upholstery thread for bag making and other heavy duty sewing. I also use it for garment making sometimes not often and for that I use regular all purpose polyester thread. I have very little issues piecing but have some tension issues quilting straight line and free motion.
Yes, thank you! It was extremely helpful! I learnt little things that I did not know before. I really have to push hard on that bobbin case to hear it click into place. I didn't realize how hard. Thanks again.
Thank you for the video. Very informative and supportive. I am considering purchasing an HD9BE. Do you have any demonstration videos of this machine sewing vinyl, leather, or canvas?
This is the best video on this I have found. Thanks so much. I have not been able to see what you say should be visible in the tension dial. Is there a presser feet video?
I found this is very informative and easy to follow. Im still trying to work out what tension i need to sew vinyl and what my pressure foot should be set at. Ant advice?
Great tutorial. I’ve been thinking about buying this machine because I’ve started to use vinyl to make bags. I’m wondering if I can change the needle to go through thicker material, or does the needle you mentioned work for those kinds of project. You are an awesome teacher! This tutorial is saved in my phone and you got a new subscriber! THANK YOU!
my bobbin thread doesnt want to come up . and when it does. it forms loose stiches.please tell me what to do. i tried to loosen and tightening the bobbin. but no luck
I noticed you have the needle tension set wrong. If you check the manual it says the centre screw should be below the surface of the knob not flush or protruding. You have it set too tight. This is the top knob. The centre screw needs to be 3mm or 1/8th below the surface. With the needle threader you don't need to hold onto it. Again the instruction manual says use both hand to lay the thread in front of the hook its easier with 2 hands. It stays in place. You can then rotate the threader to pull the thread through.
