Fun Fact: Spielberg was the one who came up with the idea to make Mosa so big. And he was the reason why the JW Velociraptors didn't have feathers because he thought dinosaurs with feathers weren't scary.

The Mosasaurus in real life was probably not much bigger than a T-rex, the one in Fallen Kingdom appears to be a monster that belonged in the Godzilla franchise.

Actually it was 65 and a half foot long. Which ironically is only half a foot bigger than what we once believed mosasaurs could get. Capping out at 45 wasn't always the estimate. At one time it was believed they could 65 feet or longer.

@@jamielishbrook2384 Going by the size of the animal in the actual film (compared to the sub), the Mosa is waaaayy bigger than 65 feet.

@@patrick_j_lee well various official source material didn't list it as bigger anywhere. It's possible that it was supposed to be 65 but they made it look bigger for dramatic effect or some shit. But if you look at some of the info pointed out it seems that even the producers don't know for sure how big it was supposed to be because it keeps shifting from scene to scene.

Mosasaur: u forgot about the tail fluke, and no croco scales.
The apatosaur is too eliphant like, w the feet and skin. Also the tail should thin out into a whip

Please look into the accuracy review on the walking with dinosaurs episode “ Cruel Sea “ by Ben G Thomas; they give a pretty clear explanation as to why it was so oversized in the BBC documentary; surprisingly we didn’t even realize what Liopleurodon’s actual size estimates were until 2003, 4 years after the production of the documentary.
So basically both have plausible excuses for why they’re like this; one is because of the accuracies , & inaccuracies of studies, hypothesis and theories ; as well as poor quality fines of certain fossils.
And the other, it’s just make a movie monster.

Pretty good video dude! Besides the size, fluke, and tongue, it does have a couple other issues. It is covered in osteoderms kinda like a crocodile but it didn’t really have this given that it is more of a monitor lizard, which didn’t have these. But I will give Universal a W for having them give Mosa a second jaw just like in real life :). So besides size I can’t exactly say it’s inaccurate for its time. Now it’s certainly outdated!

Will you also go over the six new species in Camp Cretaceous (Monolophosaurus, Ouranosaurus, Smilodon, Kentrosaurus, Nothosaurus, and Tarbosaurus)?

I don’t think it’s fair to criticize an animals height, length, wingspan, and weight, with the exception of the Mosasaurus, cause the North American Torvosaurus is smaller than Allosaurus but the European one was later than Allosaurus, so some animals like say Ceratosaurus and Dimorphodon being some feet larger than how they actually were it’s alright, and with cloning some changes can affect an animals size, hope this gets my point across, also the Liopleurodon from WWD was larger than it was though the fossilized remains of the animal were juveniles until there were realized to be the full grown specimens

Im thinking the officsl jw poster is meant to be the real size estimate. That it was supposed to be 65.5 feet, and that they upscaled it on screen to make it look better, but thats just my guess.

Out of curiosity, would you call/classify Godzilla as a dinosaur, as well as Angurus?

Depends on the continuity. In some, he literally WAS a dinosaur before being irradiated, so it wouldn't be inaccurate to call him that.
