I think Piggly Wiggly`s corporate headquarters are in Wisconsin, they`ve sponsored multiple races on this track. This state has a great car culture considering how short their summers are.
Thank you IMSA for uploading this terrific sports car race. One of my favorite tracks with two of my favorite announcers (Varsha and Hobbs). And the cars were so cool.
I just love the TH-cam auto subtitle generator. The video switches to the in-car camera in one of the Oldsmobiles and the subtitles say "(music)". A perfect description, I'd say.
Crazy to watch those cars fly down pit lane like that. NASCAR enacted its pit speed limit two years earlier in 1991, the year after Ricky Rudd lost it in the pits and killed a Melling Racing crew member. Clearly, IMSA had not followed suit as of yet in 1993.
I think it was mad max doing 170 down pit road at daytona in 96 that made em finally fix that lol. His remark when he was showed the clip the next year was great lol "that was flat out"
Well, actually #18 (Bobsy-Mantac Chevrolet, ex Can-Am car), #43 (Kudzu DG-2 Buick, ex IMSA Camel Lights), #46 (Pegasus BMW, based on the Lotus Esprit) and partly #66 (Gunnar Porsche, open-top GTP car) are WSC cars.
Ahhhh, Hobbo and Varsha calling the race, insanely powerful and beautiful GTP cars. Good times.... Thanks IMSA for the memories!
Sitting in my garage on a cold winter night watching racing and sorting plans for Le Mans 2018...Thanks IMSA great stuff
8 different classes, epic traffic, that's some real driving!

It always bothered Dad that we didn't go to this race. Just for the record it wasn't our decision.
Always loved that 1993 Speedworld intro.
Fantastic race with amazing Jaguar XJ220. Thanks IMSA.
Thanks for putting these throwback races on TH-cam.
Thank you for posting this race. Good times
Thank you for all of these. These are fantastic to watch.
