i like her use of dots and the crossover of naive art and tribal art. her colours are very primary and loud. it would be interesting to see an exhibit. each handbag is a work of art. they would really cash in if she signed them. imagine curating that in a museum some day. wow

No disrespect to kusama and her art - and I’ve read about her history and how she has been in a psychiatric unit since 1977. However, I still don’t like the collaboration. Her art doesn’t work well with Louis Vuitton. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Great commentary on Kusama and what she's all about. Sometimes you need to go beyond face value. I'm so glad you rethought your original opinion. When I first saw her work in a museum, I was drawn in by the playfulness of the red dots.

You don't have to "change" your mind. your first video on this collection was your gut feelings about the collection. I don't think you should be forced to change your mind. we all see the collection and not everyone is going to like it and that's ok. She is a controversial character, and her art is not for everyone. When I saw the pumpkin tho, It reminded me of something you would like. The collection looks like some of the Loewe pieces you've been looking at. But I like your first impression about this Kusama collection. Art is subjective, it's ok not to like it.........

It's so easy to say oh a child could do that or I could do that... But do you? Like a man sold a hanging banana as art. And even though anyone can hang a banana not anyone can find people to understand a story; a point of view and pay thousands of dollars for it. So if anything to appreciate; at least it's their capacity to find people who believe them and believe in them. Wouldn't it be nice having people in your life who would say: do you. Have coffee, hang a banana, draw dots. I'll pay you because I appreciate your unique point of view, I appreciate your story, I appreciate you. So... Is it just a form of jealousy, (when we say: oh a child could do that) that we haven't found that many people in life who will support us commercially, business-wise, emotionally to be ourselves and tell our story with whatever resources we have or want? Whether those resources or the outputs are simple or skilled. Btw there is amazing beauty in simplicity as well. My point: it is wise to look for the beauty in everything and everyone; it makes our lives richer and more compassionate. It leads us away from jealousy and closer to love. I'm not saying you have to like it... That's humanity: we're different, we like different things. But appreciating others for who they are and not what they can do or contribute to "me" is really an amazing life changing thing. I appreciate you Jess. Do you. Go have your chats about your opinions... I'll watch. I'll comment whatever for the sake of the algorithm and I hope you blossom further. Do you... There are so many people out there who will appreciate the beauty to you being... You.

I am not a fan of her art, I feel that is very juvenile on top of a very mature lv monogram. This is not a look that I like, and I love art. I will also say I like neoclassical art, I skipped the impressionism completely. So, for me, this style would never speak to me. I would also find it hard to style these items with my wardrobe. As a classical femenist and with a strugglesome background i relate to Kusama. Despite hardship, unfair treatment and mockery Kusama managed to let her creativity flow out for the world to see. Yes she has said stupid things, so has Hamsun, so did might Coco Chanel by allegedly being spy for the nazi and all the horror of hate they did with race and discrimination. Still, all of these artist contributed to shape the world and i believe the world would become much more poor in culture if people cancel their contribution in art and litterature by ignoring, prohibit and shaming other people for appreciate just the pure art work. And if you look into your own heart, are you a flawless human being? Never said or done anything at all that is stupid, like ever ? Humans are capable of creating great art but might say or do stupid things.... complex and with flaws...
