I don't understand why people don't understand why Max is so calm. If he loses, he loses to the single most winning driver ever. No shame in that. He always drives as well as he can. If it's enough to win him the title, he'll have achieved his lifelong ambition. If not, he's only 24. His career won't end if he's not on top after Abu Dhabi

Haas has done a heck of a job to keep the pace of last year's car into this season.
The problem is the rest have closed the gap to the front.

Yeah absolutely. The thing that worries me is that the track was done days ago so the surface will be slippy and surely they haven't put proper safety measures into place yet. Seems like a recipe for disaster. Praying that it's all okay tho

I don't know what it is but this race gives me a bad feeling. Baku was an absolute nightmare through dangerous crashes and constant crashing. I can easily see a repeat here and due to the track only just being done I can't see how it's 100% safe. Praying for a clean weekend
yeah was thinking the same thing. So many sections that you can bounce back onto the racing line and not much time to react.

The thing that worries me is that the facilities are literally being built right now so there's physically no way that they've been tested enough. Baku with Monaco style walls. I always have nerves before a race cos every track is dangerous but I'd rather have a bore fest than another Mugello with no run off

Max: obviously nervous and yet emanating determination, focus and willpower, trying to express just how much he wants to perform and win by doing everything in his power to get himself, the car and the team at their best.
Lewis: visibly trying to refrain from laughing and showing no sign of making any effort to focus on the actual race, searching for words to paint himself as a romanticised underdog from childhood to present day, always disadvantaged and "starting from the back".
It's now 100% clear who has the 1.5 seconds per lap faster car, who has to work and fight for a race win, and also who deserves to win this WDC

Well illustrated. Max has worked very hard for this one and would`ve wrapped up the championship by now, if not for a blow-out and Ham nerfing him off. Italy was even-Stevens.
As a D2S F1 fan, its remarkable the difference that Max has matured in the last few years. Confident, unfazed, mature, hope he can do it.

Im so excited for this race but at the same time have a gut feeling its going to be a let down.
Yeah, it's either gonna be insane or a high speed Monaco with like no overtakes. I could definitely see there being a multi car pileup. Safety wise they just don't have the data they do in the other tracks and with the high speeds and super close barriers it could be nasty.
