Is it real that Northwestern journalism is print-based? Is four years of study there worth it, given the fact that modern journalism is developing a lot these days?
The intro courses include one for print/writing and one for video, then after your first year, you can design your Journalism track to match your specific interests! I've been in broadcast and video and we have loads of resources for it, so I would say it's worthwhile.
Thank you so much Alexia! I'm a perspective journalism student applying ED! This video was so helpful!
Glad to hear, good luck with your application!
dumb question here but do you take non-journalism classes? or are all your classes in the journalism school?
Every quarter, students take 3-5 classes; usually only 1 or 2 are in journalism! The rest may fill other general course requirements or be electives

Required intro course of "philosophy of modern journalism"? Sounds questionable already.
Not a bad class at all. Don’t remember too much to be honest but it was chill and a great way to start getting used to being a college student!
