- The Grenadier Guards Association, accompanied by the Band of the Grenadier Guards, leaves Wellington Barracks to participate in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Guards Memorial, Horse Guards Parade.
"First and Finest" at 00:39 (h/t Steven Lee).
The Duke of Edinburgh, the regiment's colonel, is seen at 7:04.
The march past is to "The British Grenadiers" 8:53.
On the return to barracks the band plays (11:12) World War II-era songs, ending with the slow march "The Grenadier's Return" (16:27) as Wellington Barracks is reached. [Thanks to PUCCINIMUSICK]

I am a military band enthusiast but as good a job as the band is, the veterans stole the show, especially the senior citizens. Magnificent. Even the two gentlemen at 17:20 pushing their wheelchair bound friends are in step with the music. Most inspriring. Thanks for posting this video.
Can't deny, hearing The British Grenadiers strike up by the band is always an amazing feeling...
A very good video. The veterans are absolutely wonderful and the Grenadier Guards band is - as always - amazing. The medley of WW2 music is stirring, well played and fun. I remember meeting my father on his return to Canada after the war and the soldiers at the rail station were singing one of these...very loudly and with pride. I'm a huge fan. Thanks for this, it was a joy to watch.
What a fantastic band and beautiful music medley!!Thank you Grenadier Guards!!!!
The twist to Colonel bogey is amazing with the trombones doing the slurs ha ha I feel like I'm hearing their fun side ;)
It is a beautiful sight to see these veterans, especially the older gentlemen, march with pride and march so well.
As an Ex soldier i can tell you....When the band plays....everyone grows an extra couple of inches.
Great playing by the veteran's COD!
Even in their graying years they march smartly and proudly with their Mark 3 umbrellas.
God bless the Grenadier Guards, past and present !
the uk is beautiful. we have a perfect climate for farming. we have no dangerous insecs or animals to speak of. its a wonderful place. granted it does rain. but without rain you get drouts. and crap crops. good old england. ENGLAND TILL I DIE.
10:59 Senior Band Sergeant Major WO1 Andrew Wood, Grenadier Guards ( Right side Trombone) his collar and cuffs are gold embroidered to show his rank plus the sword at his waist
If it's not a cornet player in the band the one playing the call at 7:38 the Drummer should get a monument at the entrance of Wellington Barracks!
Still fine it amazing that the older ones can still march in time good on them
6:49 when I see a spider on my leg
this made me spit out my water
are those in bowler hats the veterans? Must have been really emotional, marching to the tunes that they were so familiar with back when they were in the forces....
No they are Officers and I think RSM or WO 1's
We shall remember them!
and all those at the rear of the band are ALL EX DRUMMERS OF THE HOUSEHOLD DIVISION
Can't blame him, I grew up with the 'England is a horrible rainy foggy cold place' image. Whenever someone mentioned the 'lake district' I always thought they referred to the place in Italy, I was pleasantly shocked when I saw that the British isles had a place like that as well (Cumbria I think).
they might be white haired some of them but they can still get it togeather, once a grenadier always a grenadier

sorry to remark but when reaching WB, the GG Band duly performs THE GRENADIER'S RETURN and not Scipio (WHICH MUST BE HOWEVER PRONOUNCED AS IF IT WAS WRITTEN "SHIPIO", according to Latin. Too many people still insist in pronouncing it SKIPIO, mistakeing the sound of the SC in Latin). However, still a great moment seeing these brave former Grenadiers marching "old and bold". God bless the Grenadiers.
What's the March at about 14.00

If you have never traveled to England, thank your lucky stars. It is a most dreary and dreadful place to visit. The weather is always the same: Rainy, cloudy, windy, blustery, cold, chilly, foggy, and moist.
