Boltgun metal was the closest to Leadbelcher. Chainmail was a lighter silver with Mithril silver being lighter still. I meant to post this the other day but I was watching off the big screen away from the keyboard.

Thanks! I thought the names were something like that but I couldn't recall.

I wonder if your opinion about these has changed after using them more? I am personally quite on the fence with these after finally buying some. I am not sure if the reformulation is better than the old one. They definitely have more bubbles than previously, like some TH-cam people have pointed out. I have been disappointed especially in the bubbles. The bottles themselves indeed feel thinner and perhaps worse quality than before? I am not sure if I buy the enviromental angle of using recycled plastic, or if it is just cynical greenwashing. I've not tested the Xpress line yet, so can't comment on those. I don't know if I even want to, after the recent news about the strike and how bad the conditions were for the workers.

I like them even more! I've always enjoyed Vallejo's products, and as time goes on, I continue to do so. A lot of the actual paint characteristics of their new line take care of things that I'd have previously listed as "things I'd change", with the matte finish being one. I prefer a matte finish. The bottles don't bother me. It's a bottle. Apart from noting it when I first purchased these, and getting used to the different feel, I don't even think of it now. The Xpress Colors will replace Citadel Shades for me as I need refills. I like those as well. They work well and are more affordable.
I'm glad the Vallejo workers came to a settlement that was agreeable to them. The conditions they faced absolutely needed to be addressed. But to be honest, I have no idea if conditions are better for any other worker in the industry. We often tend to get very animated about a situation like that, yet we often overlook the phones we carry everywhere, or the fruits and vegetables we eat. Those workers often have far worse conditions. (I've seen that with my own eyes regarding the life of farm workers.) It's a sad fact of life in this world we live in. It certainly doesn't mean we turn our backs, but I think if we approached it honestly and humbly, we'd realize it was everywhere. I've always wondered if the YT creators who took advantage of the headlines with Vallejo workers - and accepted the sponsorship money that came with it - donated any of that to the workers fund that was set up for people to contribute to.
      Thanks for watching and commenting.
