I love going to Morehead City. I don't go for the fishing, I go for the diving. When my new boat is ready in August we plan on spending a week at Morehead City scuba diving. I cannot wait to see the video on what you hit. I don't want to do the same thing. Good luck and enjoy your adventure and thanks for sharing. David
We had a lot of fun in Morhead this time around. The first time there we did not venture far enough away from the marina to find all the cool restaurants, etc.
Thanks for taking us with you on the trip. Portsider marina looks like a nice marina the restaurant looked nice inside. Hope everything else is going well for you guys always enjoy the videos. You should post a link to your facebook and patreon in the description of all your videos for old and new viewers alike. Have a great weekend. God Bless!!!
Trying Not To Sink will be watching for that video for sure. I’ve never viewed my hometown in this manner and should be very interesting. Someday I hope to make a trip up the Mississippi River to where you can cross over and come back via ICW/Atlantic Coast to Florida and on to Louisiana and Mississippi River to Baton Rouge. Will be a long trip but one with a lot historical stops along the way. Love your videos!
I seem to remember the chopper from your journey back from Florida when you first got Triton. I wonder if it actually flies. Safe journey hopefully from now on . :)
You guys. Were smart. Doing that leg in daylight. I. Did. Have. To. Anchor. In the night in that. Eastern area. An it was. A sleepless , stressful. Night. As i had read nightmares. About. The shrimp boats Running. In the. Dark with their nets. Deployed. And the. Operators. Asleep. At the helm. In years past they were. Known to de mast. Sailboats. And. Run aground. ? The. Time. I. Anchored. There. It was a. Very stormy/ windy. Night An the current. Ripped. Through. That. Area. It. Looked like a well. Protected. Anchorage. On the. GPS. But. It. Was not we. Set. Double. Anchors. And a. GPS Alarm. As there. Was a. Old. Dock. And broken off pilings. We. Decided. We didn’t want. To. Smash. Into. And risk. Serious damage to the hull btw. That nite we. Were. Getting. 45. Knot. Blows. On us. And our anchors. Held. An worked their asses off. During the. Night it was a bitch. Retrieving. Them at daylight although we did. Observe and photograph. One of the. Biggest. Schools of. Porpoise Dolphins. Surfing our bow. Wakes. When we. Did get under. Way. Making. The new day. A enjoyable. Experience. On the water Although. Reports. Of. A. Large. Sport Fisherman. Running aground ripping his shafts out. And. Sinking. In. 5 or 6 feet. Of water reminded us. That. Boating. Is still. Dangerous , the occupants. Of the. Boat. Were. Safe and Coast Guard. Responded. Quickly. With. Only a reported. Broken. Arm. And/ light bruises and scratches and the. Boat. Was. Towed. Somewhere. For repairs ? We. Got all that info via. VHF radio on board. The boat was a. Husband. And wife. And the. Operator. Had previous. Accidents. In the. Same. Area with. His wife. Onboard. ?
living between 2 draw brigdes i have to say you guys are my pet peeves...stay way too far from bridge you make the opening last 3 times longer than it should bc it takes you so long to get through! we start heading soon as we see action on the gates of the bridge and are through qquick so it can go right back down and clear the traffic
We do the same thing. It is just not apparent from the video. If I have a long wait I stay back and get close when the bells start ringing. We are very conscious of the people waiting for us on the roads.
I would suggest you learn the phonetic alphabet (alpha, bravo, charlie etc.) so you don’t have to spell your name 3 times. It’s pretty much a requirement of being a captain at sea. Not just for bridges like these, but also in case of emergency or accidents. A tip from the coach is having it written down or printed out so others who don’t know it in their heads can use it if they have to. Also write down your specific boats name so you or others don’t have to think about it. In your case your name is Tango, Romeo, India, Tango, Oscar, November. I love all your videos though! Keep it up!
Those windshield wipers are worse than fingernails on a chalkboard! Good video!
WD40 PLEASE!
I was thinking the same thing - I don’t know how he can tune those out!
I am married. I can tune anything out!
Happy wife Happy life !!! So I've heard....
Have you guys heard of Rainex? Just a suggestion.

Thanks. We are glad you liked the video. We are starting to mention the Facebook and Patreon, but it is a good idea to add the links.
Another great video captain Ed
Ouch, hard on the boat. Sometimes it's hard to see under your keel. Maybe a submerged log in the channel. Happy sailing.
Congratulations on your trip.....amazing venture.
Thanks!
Thanks for the videos!
Thanks. We are glad you like them!
Hope y’all have a portion of the trip through/by Charleston, SC as it is my home town (born and raised there) but now living in Louisiana.
We plan to visit Charleston on our way back to Philly.

Yes, we saw it last year as well. They are building a house on the lot this year. I guess it is how they visit.
Get some Rain-X for that front glass, cure your squeak problems easily. lol
It was actually the motors squeaking. We fix it in a future video,
That was great, Mark Golden Key, Philadelphia.
Thanks, we are glad you liked it. We are posting a video on costs of the trip tomorrow.
Omeomy hate that when it happens
I think Tritons wanted to Visit her Birth Place! New Bern.
Jeez, as previously said, those wipers would drive me mad. That aside, very good video, thanks.
Thanks. We are glad you like the video!
On your Samsung,,, what nav map do you have installed? Navionics? Navionics USA? Pro charts?
You need new wipers! But try Rainx first. Wipers probably dried and cracked. Rainx will help. New wipers would be better.
I got a house on Fishing Bay near the ‘long pier’. Hopefully we can meet up sometime.
It is a great area. If we pass by, we plan to anchor there again.
Good thing you don’t get as many dents on the boat as she does on her car
I think they should make a rule that one needs to be likeable to be on TH-cam.
good video. Thanks
Thanks. We are glad you liked it!
A bent prop maybe. Sorry to here..... Lucky it's still floating, Yeah !!!!. :-D
Fortunately, it was just cutlass bearings and a leaking shaft seal. Still expensive.
Can you do a prevention view about hitting ground and how to get out?
Maybe I should watch a prevention video! :-)
Just a reminder alligator river means we have them and lots of them be careful in the water.
Oh well, no skinny dipping on the way back.
Windshield noise 😩😩😩😩
Is this your 2nd time running aground?
Yes. Once in the Pungo Alligator Canal. An unmarked high spot.
That's a nasty looking bubble in your compas
Yes it is. Still works though. However, I rarely look at it, I use the digital compass on the Auto Pilot.
Your windshield wipers sound like the ones on my wife’s car
It is actually the motor on the wipers making the noise. We oil it from time to time and it quiets up.
those wipers suck

That read. Like a telegram. ;)
We would never consider the ICW at night. Just too many things to hit. We did it on the Ocean a few days later.
Are you William Shatner?
lol
That swing bridge operator sounds like a real knob .
Most of them are very nice. Once in a while we get a grouch.

I guess Super didn't notice the two boats going the other way at the same time. Triton did not cause anyone to wait.

Thank you for the great idea. It does not come up often but when it does I can never remember the alphabet.
Had to turn off video wiper unbearable
And film more the views!
yes he is saying 10 4 yankee
"Rodger" works, too.
Yea but saying simply 10-4 with no other information leads to confusion. Fact is the bridge Operator was not giving proper responses.
