Also want to pin this here, mages just got a nice update and Sorceress (Igniter) and Summoner (Master Summoner) are both much more viable/comfortable to play than they used to be. These are still spec classes with a bit more investment and learning curve, but thought I'd update you in case you were really wanting a mage class! :)
Definitely recommend wind fury. While the damage output isn't the best, your synergies are wanted in every raid. Probably my favorite alt character of all time. No real rng at all since the damage is pretty much the same every pull regardless of the boss movement.
Looking at steam, I had last played Lost Ark 2 years ago, chose the gunner (P.S. searching up the class I'm specifically referencing "gunslinger") class cause she was cute and ranged damage. Wasn't feeling it, quit the game as a whole cold turkey. Am now looking for a game to play when I don't feel like playing anything else, so updating Lost Ark for another shot. I think what turned me off the most about gunner was the feeling of having to constantly switch weapons to deal damage. Watching this list Soul Eater definitely caught my attention. As did sorcerer and drizzle specialist as ranged damage options which i tend to gravitate towards until I learn game mechanics.
This is the problem with MMOs. They make it very complex and difficult for the player. New MMO games should have a skill system that requires immediate mastery of skills, like MOBA games, and requires little detail and does not require much labor. When I just started playing the game, the thing that almost turned me off from the game was that there were so many complexities about the skills, and immediately the following thought appeared: "What if I am arranging the wrong skills, what order should the right skills be in?" Frankly, the game combo system is great, but I think MMOs should contain less detail. The gaming community is now evolving towards this.
Myca content while we are all foaming at the mouth for breaker certainly helps. Im always curious to see how you feel about the game, we need more positive content creators :D Thank you for posting, I hope your reset is lucky!
I like this list. The one other class I would recommend is Pistoleer. Very low investment class as well. And even though it's a spec class, it has great uptime because of spacebar mechanic. Also, it is great at chaos dungeons and don't even need a separate build for it because all you have to do is to switch one tripod from your raid build (Equilibrium: Decimation Shot to Enemy Raid). And has the best skill in the game: Coptor!!
We just got the Breaker today so we don't have any experience with it. You can also make an Arcana on another region as you get a powerpass now and try it. Both are very challenging in their own ways.
You can definitely try out breaker (hitmaster variation should be easier to gear up), I don't recommend Arcana for new players unless you really want to invest time into the class (she takes a long time to master, although she can deal really good damage eventually). Wish you luck!
I'll ask you since I can't find a comprehensive answer online. I came back to the game yesterday. I'll choose mage as my "class", go through the creation process and the game loads me in as a bard EVERY SINGLE TIME. I want to play the sorcerer class. How do I go about that as there is no indication in game and there are no real CURRENT answers online?
As a DI main, I don't think shadowhunter is good for new players because your 2 gems have to be lvl 10 from 1580 onwards, otherwise you'll get gatekept.
Is there any F2P friendly class in this game ? What i mean is a class that's not hard to build and invest cause seriously most of them are limit p2w to build 😂
@@pluse697 Oh, thanks. She was referring to the different classes by different pronouns, so it really sounded like you can't make your own character. Maybe I will try it after all, but I wish she hadn't put me off it at the time since I was looking for an MMO to play with my partner.
@@warmmilk9480 ima be honest with you leave this game alone.its dying at a rapid rate and only way your going to properly enjoy is if your willing to dedicate an insane amount of time and some money into it.if your looking for an mmo the only ones I can honestly recommend is ff14, guild wars2 ,and kinda pso2 ngs its content is kinda mid but still solid especially compared to 99% of other mmo games out rn.

Wardancer Souleater and Slayer definitely best recommendations, all crit or swift variants

Damn, I had no idea the sorceress was in her flop era. That was my initial class 😮💨
would you recommand arcana or breaker? Whihc one is less boring in the long term?

Arcana is maybe the most or second most difficult class in the game, be aware

im new, its very helpful TY Myca, one question, at 0:15 which class does those red flash/slash ?
Prob Assassin/Shadow hunter
That or one of the other melee classes
what server are do you guys play on???
I see a swiftness trend 😁
Swiftness has great gameplay. Not the hardest hitters, but it feels so smooth. No swiftness I feel so sluggish.
@@niccoSun yee same. i dont even care if they do more damage, its boring to be slow..

Not me thinking of coming back for Predator Slayer...!! (/ω\)

Thanks for the guide, but it doesn't help me much since and stuck choosing between Wardancer & scrapper xD
Both of the upper are great. Big dps and fun to play
❤
Huh mage does ton of dmg
So you can't play your own character? Oof.
Huh? Those are classes your still your own character it’s an mmo bro

Sounds cookie-cutter everyone playing the same shit I went mage summoner as a new player and I could care less what groups think
Good for you.. you should pick the class that feels best suit for you
it feels so forced for playing as a female character and idk why
