- With a new movie, the release of her third album, a tour, and a rumored romance with Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez has a busy summer ahead of her.
She joined the Fox and Friends crew to talk about the excitement of it all. She also commented on criticism that her good-girl Disney image may be tarnished by more adult material and her love life. Gomez says, "My opinion is I have a right to live my life and I feel like I've done a very good job in the position that I've been put in. And, I should be able to grow up."
Of her relationship with Bieber, Gomez would only say, "It's just nice to have someone who understands what you're going through."

i like it that she said she knows she has a young audience even if she's not with Disney anymore... i think this is why she doesn't go wilding out like all the other young actresses that have left Disney
i like when they asked her about justin you can just tell my the look in her eyes thats hes some one special to her... it was cute :)
She talks to me on facebook and i really feel how she feels when she looses a fan ! She was talking to me about NYE and she just told me "" I want my beautiful fans back Kelsea "" My heart dropped and just think about how she felt !

I think all of her responses were well said and I am very proud of her and she is the BEST ROLE MODEL out there right now for everyone of ALL ages. I'm a 34 yr old mother of 2 boys one is 15 the other 4 and both think she is so adorable, as do I. Keep it up sweetie. She was raised properly by a great family. She needs to keep ignoring ignorant comments from people. One last thing, I actually love her clothes line and have several pieces. She's an adult and she can act like one "with Justin."

i love how serious she gets when they start talking about justin. she is a woman! people change when they grow. she is beautiful, successful and very lucky.
I like the way that she answered that question, about her "Disney Image" and that she does have the right to grow up. And the fact that she does realize there are younger people looking up to her, and she won't overstep that. But, she does have the right to live her life the way she wants to.
I even hate when they bring up their relationship in interviews. Imagine how they feel

This movie was so great that I made a TV show out of it, where Grace plays the guitar and sings, as well as the other members in her family. There will be a spin-off of this show and Kathy and Maggie entitled "Meg and Maggie".

Aw, this is sweet, they are the sweetest couple and they're a terrific example of what a relationship should be like. . She didn't go against Disney and turn into something awful. She's a nice girl and her relationship with Justin only helps, they are both a good example for younger kids. Both of my kids love them.

I find it a bit odd that Selena won't directly admit that Justin is her 'boyfriend' but she answers all the other direct relationship questions about him no problem, i suppose she knows that as soon as she does openly admit or refers to him as her 'boyfriend' it'll be all over the internet etc. But it's still a bit weird.
