Bummer! Especially when it is a job you really liked! The sudden shock will immediately cause anxiety over money etc… My husband has gone through a layoff a couple times in his career and it can be tough but things work out. That is why we budget and plan for emergencies etc… You got this and best of luck finding your next awesome job 🤩
Fab video Rachel!! I'm so sorry you lost your job its a scary time when you lose income. So glad you have your other job to fall back on now. I am sure you will find another job very soon xx
Hey new subbie 🤗 this also happened to me and I ended up using all my sinking funds and savings challenges, it took me 2 months to get a new job and I had a month ahead fund of $1000 and that didn’t do much . I wish you success on your journey. I hope everything gets better 🌸🌸🌸
thank-you so much for sharing your experience & for your kind words! I hope you are doing well now :) I definitely think I will need to start a month a head envelope too, but I hope I won't ever need to use it.
Sorry to hear about your job lose it sucks 😞 especially if you like what you were doing.. stay strong girl you got this.. great cash stuffing video enjoyed it
Hi new subbie 🫶🏽I was recommended this video and for a good reason because this aligned with what I’ve gone through before! I worked part time at a restaurant and a jewelry store a couple of years back and I also lost my restaurant job suddenly, after working for 2 years there. I loved that job and all of the people I worked with and my boss was also just amazing! There is definitely a moment to take to just process that it’s gone and done, but this one door closing for you will open 10 more. I do admit it was very difficult for me to adjust from two sources of income to just one, but I definitely did what you suggested and picked up more shifts at my other job. Btw I love the witchy shit and manifestation envelopes!! Sending good energy your way to get through this time 🦋
Thankyou for sharing your experience 💕 I definitely had to take some time to grieve that part of my life ending but I’m hoping I’ll be into bigger & better things soon in my future! Sending lots of love & good energy your way too! Thankyou! Blessings ✨❤️
I wouldn’t wait on them to call you. I work at a skilled nursing facility, we are always looking for help in Activities department, check out your local nursing homes. Good luck!
Our whole mental health system is insanely ridiculous for one of the richest developed countries in the world. Working in healthcare, this fact burns me soooo frequently I often end up ranting on shift about it. Sorry to hear about the job. I imagine it’s all pretty stressful but I hope it all works out for you, girl! 💕
thank-you for your kind words, and yeah our health care system definitely sucks. eyecare and dental should definitely be included too. There has been so many people I know who suffer pain with their infected teeth because they can't afford to go to a dentist. Having my 2 wisdom teeth removed cost over $800, and I wasn't even put under anesthetic which costs more. I was just frozen which they did it & was awake. It was the cheapest option, but that was the cost of easily 2-3 pay checks for me
Stay strong and embrace the challenge. When you lose one job, you are free to choose what you do next. And it looks like financially you are secured for some time - don’t be afraid to keep taking good care of yourself! It’s gonna be allright in the end. Lufs!💕
I didn’t lose my job but I got transferred to another building with no opportunity to say bye to anyone. Yes, I was really sad and cried. But I’ve been in the new building for 3 weeks…. And I love it even more. I dunno if you are religious or spiritual but I find when a door closes even if I didn’t want it to close….. a new and better door opens for me. So…. Gotta count for something! I think you may find something you love even more!
thank-you very much, I am hoping that a new opportunity will come my way. Change can definitely be hard, and it was just so sudden. I hope you are doing okay too!
Hey girl. New to your channel and I just returned from a layoff in June after being off since Dec 21. It was rough but E.I should help some if you choose to apply. Hopefully you can pick up other shifts or use the extra time to find a new Hobbie or what not while things sort themselves out. Great video😊
Thankyou for joining & for your support 💕 it was a weird emotional things for me having that part of my life end at a job I really liked, but I’m hopeful to find something new soon!
My suggestion is to take a career assessment test to see what sorts of jobs are of interest to you. That would probably be at a community college. Which is a lot cheaper than taking University. It is usually a multiple choice answer. In the form of What you would like to do. Then a answer comes up. Such as I think you could someday own your own business. I would start with Marketing or Accounting. Just a thought. Sharen
thank-you for the advice, I will definitely check that out. I've definitely considered taking business and accounting before at college. It might be the time to finally start that journey.
Free Health Care? When my mother was in a private room, and had to be transferred into a nursing home,my older sister had to pay for her private room. When you are on Social Assistance, they want you to pick cheaper eye wear. (Eye Glasses.) The manager at where I was living asked for my Sun Life Medical Plan. I never saw it again. They say I get everything for free, but I have to pay out pocket, because my sister and I share an account. Sharen
Yeah, they claim we have free universal health care in Canada, but things that are very important for health are still not accessible to most. I had to pay $500 for my prescription glasses, which I need to be able to work but I have no coverage for them. same as dental. It all comes out of pocket.
Thank you so much, It was a real shock honestly but I'm remaining hopeful. I am very lucky to still have a job for income, and to have this budgeting system so I will be okay (hopefully) for emergencies.
I'm in Niagara, ON and the mental health system here is so bad honestly, and the wait times are very long to see someone who is covered. You just get referred to group therapy at the hospital, rather than one on one therapy which is what I want. That's why it's not covered under OHIP, since it would be someone from a private practice.
Sorry about your job loss. You said you didn't get laid off, but if they sold the business and they didn't keep you then you got laid off. Hope you got paid out severance and got EI.
thank-you, and no I worked part-time as a server so there was no severance or anything & I still had my other job so EI needs you to claim your income and I didn't qualify. But I am doing much better now, thank-you :)
I get it it’s a bummer, but it could be way worse. Think if you were losing your job due to a sudden unforeseen disability which makes it impossible for you to work at all. At least you still have tons of options. It really sucks when you don’t. I’m not saying you don’t have a right to be upset about your job bn over or that your feelings aren’t valid I’m just saying it could be so much worse!
thank-you! & yes I am aware it could be very worse and I am grateful I have another job to fall back to right now. It was just very sudden, and I was grieving the loss of a job that I really enjoyed and people I know I will never see again. I am thankful for all that I have, and I am hopeful for the future. Wishing you all the best!
@@journalingrachel Aww thank you that’s so very sweet of you! I understand you grieving the loss of your job and your friends you had there and I am sorry for that, but I’m also so happy for you that you already have another job to fall back on! Best of luck to you in everything! ;)
thank-you very much! Love to see other Canadian cash stuffers. and I really appreciate that. I am thankful I have a second job (now my only job), but it was definitely a shock & I know my income is now going to be essentially cut in half
I'm sorry about your job loss! It definitely is a shock to the system, but things do end up working out. You can do this!
thank-you so much for your kind words

Thankyou for your kind words!
You got this, Rachel!
thank-you
Good vlog, sorry about your job loss, but when one door closes another one opens up.
thank-you, I am really trying to be positive and count my blessings that I still have a second job I was working

thank-you for the kind words and encouragement. I know better things will come along, it will just take some time.
Omg I love the tarot cards!!! I’m getting them for my friends birthday thanks for the code !! ❤️
oh i'm so glad to hear that! Hope your friend will enjoy them
Sorry to hear about your job! Are you going to be looking for another serving job? I’m also near Toronto but a bit closer to Niagara
most likely, yes! I know lots of places are also hiring soon for the holiday season so I'm staying hopeful
@@journalingrachel and university kids are going back to school and restaurants will need staff, most places are desperate for extra help!
Great video really enjoyed. Sorry for ur job loss. When one door close another one better will open. New subbie here.
