Why do you think Jonathan died at the final battle instead of being delivered? It seems strange that he would be caught up with Saul's demise, suffering the same (temporal) fate as his evil father despite acting in such a godly way. Was it a sign of Jonathan's faithfulness that he persisted even unto death?
