In regard to monsters I saw in another battle that some heavy inf unit need to be disrupted by 10 to lose rank. This if correct should be good to counter strong monsters that attack flank/rear. Also as you mentioned in previous discussion that big monster can not reform after marching.really make them less mobile. Thats make monster less good. 😊 Great discussion again 👍 I really this panel discussions you have based on the battle report just done.
The blood armour gains +1 to the armour save when the wearer inflicts a wound, not the mount, so the dreadlord would need a black dragon egg to improve it with noxious breath. A character can get to the maximum armour save of 2+ quickly using a ruby ring of ruin or black dragon egg, along with perhaps a brace of repeater handbows, but the cost is 30 points for the armour, 30-35 for a magical attack or 10 for handbows. However, the dreadlord could instead start the game with 3+ armour and 2+ against missile weapons for only 12 points (full plate, shield, sea dragon cloak), so it's quite a few points for a conditional +1, though surely worthwhile in some situations.
I've seen some dwarf games, and their best option seems to be organ guns and multiple wound attacks. It's doable through volume of fire if you can negate one or more of the 3 saves big dragons get. The other mounts and monsters aren't really that bad for anyone, imo, since everyone has access to high strength attacks with some AP.
dwarfs have a banner that remove iniative gained from a charge.. put that on a block of hammerers and I think they themself become and issue for all armies to handle. we will have to look into the dwarfs soon and then organ gun and a monster will be on the table, pretty sure of it. /André
The flame attack is made by the dragon, not "the wearer". The armour does not improve this way. If the wearer has the black dragon egg, then the flame is coming from the wearer.
Another great Podcast guys. I am still new to Table top gaming, but I've been using Old World Builder to play around with lists ideas - if you think it is worth it, it would be great to get your opinion on a newbie persons list choices. Furthermore, and I appreciate it might be a bit too early for this but for a future podcast it would be good to get your impressions of which factions look standout at the moment and which are not so standout and why?
Thanks! We also consider us newbies on the old world but we will give it a go.. and two of us is attending a torunament this weekend. that tend to elivate your game and I hope they will come back with some technical skills. Also we havn't played with all the factions jet but when we have I bet some form of comparission will happen. /André
thats true.. probably many times this have to be considerd.. but the reform a unit can do with fallback in good order can be very powerfull, puting the unit in a picket line to maximize attacks.
th-cam.com/video/YkwlIY09TSU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=lgrp6PvnovT8Vr3E , the battle report we analyse.

excellent clarification! Superb! And totaly valid. 18pts for another +1 is probably a waste.
👍👍

Spot on! This is correct.
The profile for the HE and DE dragons are the same? Both are split profiles.
You are right. We got it wrong!

Give ground doesnt let you reform, but you dont count as getting charged like you do when you fall back in good order
You are correct sir! :)
I think Fall back in good order is worse than Give ground because the winner counts as charging with good order.

Why is Martin coughing?
Beats me.. Wish it cost him 100kr becouse of the editing got a little bit of a pain.
Is the way you're seated here a subtle reference to "Linehammer"? ;)
Subtile sugestions to plant a need for linehammer.. buy buy buy ;p
