Beso. Personally I feel like this couldn't have happened that early in the show. I mean Dabi wasn't even introduced until season 3 and the rest of the family definitely wasn't emotionally prepared for this conversation. And tbh I love how this was done, showing bits and pieces that connect with piece of backstory we already had. It just goes to show that each person has their own perspective and only through stitching them all together can you truly view the whole thing.
Beso, I think they could've still done the whole toya thing and the dabi is toya in season 6 would've hit harder since we don't need the let's talk about what happened to toya flashback. As far as the whole not emotionally prepared, this happened when shoto was a baby it's been like 15 years at least. The only relevant thing now is endeavour is the number 1 hero and he's vulnerable after the last fight. He would still have the toya trauma from the reveal.
True the trauma would still be there and it could have been talked about but at that point the entire family still kinda hated each other and endeavor still was a pompous prick. That being said the background technically could've been introduced whenever but I personally like when background is tied into story (when it is shown because of the conversations that are currently happening) rather than for example, just kinda dropping the whole backstory in season 2 when they first gave the story of todoroki's scar and whatnot. While either works I think this has a bit more impact since they've dropped bits and pieces here and there but now we get to finally put the pieces together. But in the end that's just my opinion
