What a brilliant review! Horst has a laser focus in his nose, and his tasting knowledge as displayed by his comments on the influence of alcohol and it's influence on viscosity shows his experience at tasting the flavors that follows as he describes. I also appreciate how the review allows them to let the flavors evolve. I know I'm speaking to the choir hen I say that this is a really solid channel for whisky reviews. Thanks to you both for a another year of reviews and I look forward to more in 2020.

I just happened to find a bottle of Springbank 12 Cask Strength today (Atlanta, GA, USA). It’s $129.99 pre-tax. And it’s delicious. I got the peat, smokiness, and then some chocolate notes that had eluded me with other whiskeys. I expect after it gets below the neck pour that the maritime notes will come out for me. Thanks for the review!
