I like the idea of the solar lights -- but that seems to add a significant cost: I'd say @ $15 they are under priced. I've done some lanterns with miter folds -- 1/4" mdf or ply, 1'x2' sheet. Line up the sides, face up, and tape at the miters then glue and fold up the box. tape or rubber band the box until dry (or nail corners if you prefer). Everything was done on the CNC, but I run mine very conservatively so it takes just under 20 minutes to cut it all.
I’ve had a couple people tell me I could have charged more, but I made out all right. When I first started cutting them out on the CNC it was taking 13 minutes per face, but I was able to adjust my feeds and speed to get it down to 3 to4 minutes . Thanks for your comments, I enjoy seeing how other people do things.
There are solar LED light, I got them from Amazon. They charge in the sunlight during the day and as soon as it get dark they turn on. Here is the link. www.amazon.com/dp/B09C28DGFD?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
Good video. Your CNC really made that project & volume work well. Ive just built two yesterday & cutting out complicated eyes & mouth & teeth takes time. I’m just curious why you trim the width down to 5 1/2 inches? I take it you don’t paint yours? We painted ours a mix of orange & red & added a tree limb cutoff for the pumpkin handle. I’m guessing shortcuts have to be made when you are making a ton of them. Good luck selling them.
Thanks, I wanted to make sure all the parts are the same width, also some of the edges needed to be cleaned up. No paint just the a rustic look. I could not imagine cutting them out by hand that would take a lot of time, the CNC really cut the time down.

Could you give me a little more info on those yard lights. Great idea by the way.

Nice project but why no glue?
The cedar I got from the store was still pretty damp and I felt like just staples would be enough. Thanks for watching.

What do you sell these for?
I sold them for $15 for one or $40 for three.
