Kimberly Hill (born November 30, 1989) is an American volleyball player for Imoco Volley and a former member of the United States women's national volleyball team. She is a gold medalist of the 2014 World Championship, and a bronze medalist of the 2016 Olympic Games and 2015 World Cup. In 2021, she became a gold medalist at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
    Early life
Kimberly Hill was born to Bradd and Terri Hill. She has three siblings: Kelsey Hill, Shelby Hill, and Caitlin Volk.

She received the accolades in 2011 with the indoor squad, and in 2012 and 2013 on the beach. Hill was also the 2011 West Coast Conference Player of the Year and the WCC's Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year. She was a member of the inaugural AVCA national champions in the sport of beach volleyball in 2012.
Hill won a gold medal at the 2014 World Championship when the USA national team defeated China 3-1. She was also selected tournament's Most Valuable Player[6] and Second Best Outside Spiker. Hill won the 2016 World Grand Prix Best Outside Hitter individual award and the silver medal.

On June 7, 2021, US National Team head coach Karch Kiraly announced she would be part of the 12-player Olympic roster for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. My all time favorite player. Became big fan of volleyball because of her. Now that she retired from playing made me sad. I am still hoping she comes back even in club team.

Kelsey Robinson was also a libero in 2018 world championship.

Still couldn't understand why they chose to make her a libero. There's a reason why ALL liberos are not that tall. She became a target of the Chinese offense during the VNL.

She has a very good serve, if you see they always make that change, so of course they need her to defend well, I think they just put her as a libero in the VNL for training her to the olympic games

@@mikaelgarcesmora2438 that's the only explanation i could think of too since Wong is the only libero they could take and Larson has Robinson and MBH as sub so Hill doesn't really have a lot going for her at the Olympics.

I think the first reason is to prepare her to the Olympics as service specialist. And the second reason i think is that, her coach new that she was retiring after Olympics so she gave enough playing time that she can enjoy before retiring.

Mark Guanzon but as libero she doesn’t get to serve?…

@@ajollypanda4175 yes, but karch was preparing her to be a service specialist for the olympics. hence, she must have a good floor defense as well
