I love that you said not to be disheartened if your GP is dismissive of your enquiry - Nurses since the dawn of time have always been wiser than Dr's about things, so the fact you said GPs need educating is no surprise 😉 Years ago I remember talking to Nurses about the veins in my legs and being really properly heard, whereas my GP (at the time) just told me outright, "women get veins." 😦 I thought he was going to tell me to run along and knit a kitten or something that women should be doing instead of bothering him! Even though this is not something I can do, I am finding learning about it all really interesting, so thank you for sharing this part of your weight loss journey with us all. xx
Oh my Lord … it’s actually shocking some of the stories I’ve heard about GPs (and a few nurses to be fair). I can’t believe that attitude! Sadly though lots of doctors project their own thoughts rather than following current guidelines. Many are out of date and are stuck in out of date practice. The introduction of ANPs at gp surgeries is really good for patients. They generally are much more helpful and follow guidelines much more closely xxx I really appreciate your ongoing support ♥️
Im also on mounjaro a bmi of 25 is quite small in weight depending on your build but i know that's what's recommended. Are you doing anything alongside the mounjaro to prepare you for that? as a bmi of 25 can come very quickly on this drug.
I’m on my 3rd day of the Zepbound Vials and feel good! Yes, I have to use a syringe and give myself the shot but after watching several videos on YT, I felt confident that I could do it. I won’t dread the next one. It really was not a big deal other than in my mind. 😜 My shipments come directly from Eli Lilly and so far have had no side effects. Thanks for your videos! 🙏🏼
Well done!!!! I saw that EL are making 2.5mg and 5mg in vials. I think this is a great idea and it reduces all that plastic waste. It also makes it more affordable without the need for the manufacturing of the pen which is a win in my opinion. I find the fact that it is one pen per dose so wasteful. At least we have multi dose pens but there is still so much waste Good luck lovely xxx x
@@ladymawa Thank you! I'm subscribed and enjoying your videos! I must have watched 6 or 8 by now. 🙏 I hadn't thought about the 'plastic waste' but that's a very valid thought. Thank you for commenting because I have no one to talk to. I haven't even told my husband yet. My reason for that is that after a lifetime of failed diets, I just want to see if it's going to even work first. I really don't want to have to admit another failure if it doesn't work so for now, I'm alone in this. I don't want to get into a Facebook group because I'm afraid others will see what I'm doing and blow my cover. (I could use some other platform if I can find one.) If I begin to feel secure in the medication's effects, I will admit to people what I'm doing and they can handle it however they choose but first the med. has to prove to me that it's for real. I'm eating healthy, smaller meals so we'll see. Thank you again so much! 🥰

I hadn’t seen you TH-cam channel until today, I bit the bullet and ordered my first Mounjaro injection pen on Friday and was approved the same day with Zavamed. I had to weigh myself and take photo of me on the scales showing my weight with the date written on a piece of paper on top of the scales, then I had to do a full body side view not wearing baggy clothes, again I had to hold a piece of paper with the date on it in my hand so it could be seen, it’s a bit tricky when you live alone. My only concern is my parcel was dispatched Friday night but I didn’t receive it until today, it was well packaged but the bag inside wasn’t still like ice it was watery but was cool/cold to the touch. I put my Mounjaro in my fridge and sent a message to them to see if it is still ok to use, still waiting for a reply. I was planning to start today but think I may hold off until next Sunday like yourself. In my mind it makes sense to start on a day you will remember best and Sunday/Monday dos that for me,is there any good time to take like am or pm? Feeling little apprehensive now but I know I’ve got to do this for me which in turn will help my health conditions as I have Bronchiectasis, Atelectasis, Fibromyalgia & ME. I have subscribed to your channel so will watch you journey as I start mine, and it’s so good to find someone in the UK who is doing this, so thank you. 💕

Let me know how you get on when have started sweetie. Glad to have you here xxx❤️
Thanks for sharing your story. I'm paying privately myself too despite being Type 2, BMI over 35, High blood pressure. I started with Medexpress but have made the decision to use my local pharmacy now, its costs more but I have that reassurance knowing my pharmacist is keeping an eye on me - she interviews me each 4 weeks to make sure I'm doing ok. I'm in week 7 on 5mg, lost 10kg so far thanks to walking over 10k steps a day and eating a max of 1400 cals per day. I'll stay on 5mg for another 4 weeks as I'm going on holiday and don't want to risk side effects hitting in on the higher dose, only had constipation so far - can handle that. Very little appetite suppression so far and food noise is still there, so can't wait for the higher doses to kick in soon!
