As a mother of 2 children, I cant even begin to imagine what Jessica must have felt. To not only find out the man you’re in love with, & father of your children, but also your own mother, the woman who gave you life, BOTH severely beat your baby… Disgusting that a “grandmother” & “father” like that exist. They both deserve to rot. My heart breaks for that innocent baby & Jessica. I hope that they’ve recovered as much as possible, happy & together!

Pretty much. He has an excuse being a dumbass young boy. Lame excuse and never "excusable". Yet still. The grandma has none, she should have the experience to deal with it.
My mom was "old school" so yes, I got my ass beat regularly. When I got to be a teen, the beatings came with hands, feet and everything else. I never "fought back" because it was my mom. I'd never raise a hand to her. I never liked nor appreciated that kind of discipline. I believe it made me more defiant. Needless to say, I ended up being a teen mom but I moved out at 16, after my first kid. I did spank their hands occasionally; for trying to stick silverware in the outlets and what not; or a pat on the diaper. I never hit my kids hard enough to leave bruises because they're kids. There are so many other ways to discipline kids without hitting them. I think my mom's discipline did the opposite of what she was trying to achieve. I never let her hit my kids for any reason. If I had seen a bruise on them after she babysat, that would be the end of her relationship with me and my children. Their father didn't even put hands in them.

I remember when I first watched this episode. I figured it was the grandmother who abused the baby, but I was shocked about the father. I knew the grandmother did it due to the simple fact she also abused her daughter. And that woman who came with the grandmother looked really stupid in the end too.
The boyfriend, I honestly wasn’t surprised. The grandmother, I was definitely surprised. I wouldn’t have thought for a second she did this. Very sad. After my daughter got her 3 month vaccinations she cried for over 24 hrs. I tried everything possible and couldnt stop the crying. I finally made sure she was safe in the bassinet, I put the bassinet where I could see it and went outside for a cigg (I never smoked in the house or near her) and called grandma (my mother in law) for help. Told her I had no sleep, didnt know what to do and needed help. She came over and took my daughter for a few hours. I slept, literally on the floor. She gave her Tylenol and long long long bath in warm water. Abusing my baby was never an option. How can you hurt a defenseless baby.
This is sickening! The poor mother at work trying to provide for her children and she gets a call like that… as a mother myself I can say… MOTHER’S WORST FEAR. This is so sad… not only your boyfriend and father of your child but the grandmother?!?! Poor Jessica and that baby they’re the only ones I feel horribly for!!! For those who was confused why the grandmother and the father both failed for beating their baby on 10/9/14: Dan confirmed that the father beat his baby in the morning and the grandmother went along with it by beating her granddaughter in the afternoon.
