Great video. Your videos are all really good. Even though we’re fishing for quite different species, fishing rivers is basically the same all over. Fishing small jigs with BFS/UL baitcasting is a good basic technique that it seems people either don’t know about or choose to ignore. I’m fishing for black basses in Rivers here in the US, where a principal forage in Rivers is often the crayfish, the small crustacean, I’ve found the a Japanese produced jig, the Keitech Mono Spin Jig, with a small 1.5” to 2” soft plastic trailer imitates a small crayfish very well. As I’m subscribed to your channel, and receive notifications when one of your videos post, I’ll be eagerly awaiting further videos
Hi, I use also monofilament line as well as braided line. Both. In this video is on the reel monofilamanet line. What is wrong at monofilament line? :) It has many advantages. It's much cheaper :) And I'm used to using monofilament line for UL fishing. Same for trout fishing, ...
Peter Zachar I’m not completely sure how you guys fish jigs, but here in Holland we’re used to letting it sink to the bottom and then we’ll feel a little tap indicating the jig has hit the bottom. To achieve this we need to have line with zero stretch, otherwise the line will absorb the impact thus dampening the tap. Braid also has a stronger diameter to lb ratio allowing you to fish as thin as 0.04mm while still having up to 8lb pullforce. I’m sorry if you guys don’t jig this way thus making the difference between line less important, but this is how we learn it in Holland. Tight lines!

Hello, it´s homemade rod - Pacific Bay Tradition II 5´6´´blank, 2-6 lbs (cca up to 5 g)
Why not go for braid? It’s better in any possible way..
