    You are certainly a very skilled man. That’s a very nice job you’ve done of making that rod shown in the video.

    Nice video, you did well. The rod looks very good and appears to be well constructed. People think the 1-weight is too weak, as your catches show, it is not.
    In fact, the AFTMA (one of the primary standards companies for rating rods, lines) shows the first 30 feet or 10 meters of a one weight fly line weighs 60 grains or 0.137 ounces or approximately 4 grams (actually 3.88 grams. probably a little more with 10 meters.) (Fly line ratings are based upon the casting of the first 30 or line.)
    So that rod is a true UL rod.
    I would look into plugging the first couple of centimeters of the rod tip with something that is both extremely light-weight and may be resistant to compression to help resist some accidentally crushing of the rod tip? Even though cork doesn't have very much compressive strength, I've found it preferable to something like styrofoam, closed-cell or otherwise and balsa wood. Your rod certainly is a good performer. Bravo, Sir!!!!

    Hi Peter nice video and thanks for sharing! I have same reel and would like to get into this type of fishing...so for a beginner what is the best lure weight, 2 to 7g that you think cast the easiest? The lightest and smallest the better of course for finesse. Thanks

    • @peterzachar5052
      @peterzachar5052  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For beginners, the best weight for BFS is from 4-5 g. The bait is better if it has a compact shape (round), not a worm, ....

    Hi Peter,. Sorry to bother you again but as I'm still a newbie I would appreciate if you let me know what are the inner diameter sizes of the guides you had use to build your rod. This info could help me to decide about the usage of other guide brands. Thanks!
