Thanks for watching, everyone. We think this episode is the ideal version of this show and are thrilled to share it. As we continue to make YM3, throw us a like, subscribe, comment - whatever helps. Appreciate you all.
I am 30 minutes into the pod, but I had to comment. Duncan Robinson is doing an amazing job interviewing. Please keep it coming. This guy has phenomenal questions and follow ups.
I'm always curious about what happened behind the scenes, because The Long Shot pod started here with JJ then moved to Blue Wire then it was gone after shooting some Summer League episodes.
@ he was in a major slump / trade rumors around the time it happened so he prob just wanted to distance himself from all that. i remember finding his friend on LinkedIn and it seemed based off the dates he had up he quit his job to go full time on Longshot but who knows
I can’t imagine how tough it must be to be a professional athlete on a shooting slump AND having to do a podcast during that slump. I rather Duncan be performing well on the court.
we missed you dunk! seeing the old man pod rebranded is honestly the best news i could have seen this week - excited for this! also love donte and hoping he can turn it around after a rough start in minnesota and if it doesn't work out i would GLADLY have him back on the knicks roster
Great to see Duncan doing a pod again but Davis was an elite cohost. Donte getting traded sucks man he was just such a joy to watch play for the Knicks I wish him nothing but the best
Love to see Duncan back in the podcast world! Told him two seasons ago in Miami (vs New York, Julius Randle game winner) that I missed his podcast and now here I am loving every second of this! Great job Duncan!
1st time watching Duncan Robinson -- he's a natural with podcasting. I like how he speaks on his experience and ties it back to the earlier answer given by the guest so he can expand on the topic.
Love how original pod took its name from a Hemmingway classic and now is its own thing enough to where it doesnt sound off when rebranded. Thats a credit to the strength of content
This interview was amazing, I think Duncan did a incredible job with all the questions he asked, so looking forward to the follow up when they play in Miami..
This is one of the best hoops podcast episodes I’ve ever seen and I watch a LOT of hoops pods. Need more Tommy and Duncan content and Donte is a fire guest, should do these more lol.
Wat i luv about Donte is his shotmaking, playmaking, passing, ball cntrl, confidence,no ego & rltnship he keeps wit his teammates. He's a solid 3pt shooter.Wat he needs to improve on is,making btr decisions b4 he shoots & drawing def better.Love ya game tho!!👍
I like Donte.I knew dis guy 2 years ago in Knicks. When he was in Warriors,he wasn't as good as he was like confidence, shooting or ball control wasn't clicking yet.And he hadn't found his role.
20mins in & I never knew tht I would enjoy hearing a guy like Duncan talking hoops on my Friday night. (Bay Area Native & Warriors fan) rooting for a long, healthy & successful career, Donte!
Duncan Robinson is a legend. In the 2023 Playoffs he outplayed 2 Finals MVPs he outplayed Giannis in the 1st round (20 MPG vs 30 MPG) and Jaylen Brown in the ECF (in half as many MPG)
great question, Tommy - about whether you should try to manage the emotions and energy - I spent much of my early life around the race track - a lot of horses run their race in the saddling paddock - they're so hyped, they burn up so much energy because they know the race is coming. It's a tough thing for some to figure out how much energy to expend there or how much you need to spend there to keep from having an energy level that is too low.
I am a knicks fan and i can say 11 games in , its clear to me wolves won that trade. Even though kat was the best player in the trade , the knicks gave up there chemistry/identity which translates to winning more then talent.

I miss Davis and the long shot pod
I miss Duncan's podcast, man. Hope he brings it back sometime!
I can’t imagine how tough it must be to be a professional athlete on a shooting slump AND having to do a podcast during that slump. I rather Duncan be performing well on the court.

also love donte and hoping he can turn it around after a rough start in minnesota and if it doesn't work out i would GLADLY have him back on the knicks roster
Minnesota is a slept on state. Players that go to Minnesota always have nothing but good things to say about the state & franchise.
Great to see Duncan doing a pod again but Davis was an elite cohost. Donte getting traded sucks man he was just such a joy to watch play for the Knicks I wish him nothing but the best

Two of my favourite shooters in one pod?? This made my day!
Love to see Duncan podcasting
That's the most I've ever heard Donte talk (MN fan) but yeah, this was well done. Billy Sushi is supposed to be pretty baller for MN 🍣
This is one of the best hoops podcast episodes I’ve ever seen and I watch a LOT of hoops pods. Need more Tommy and Duncan content and Donte is a fire guest, should do these more lol.
Is that THE DUNCAN ROBINSON???
Great to see Duncan posdcasting again! Wondering what happened to his partner in the long shot podcast tho
One of the few that highly appreciate the inside the mind NBA convos. Keep going fellas. 📝

i see what you did there
I like Donte.I knew dis guy 2 years ago in Knicks. When he was in Warriors,he wasn't as good as he was like confidence, shooting or ball control wasn't clicking yet.And he hadn't found his role.
Duncan definitely wants to play with GS
Hi - Nice show, my first episode, thanks!
The long shot! Duncan's a natural
I love Donte what a ball player and human being
This was a great podcast. Duncan asks direct and relevant questions and Donte was a great guest.
20mins in & I never knew tht I would enjoy hearing a guy like Duncan talking hoops on my Friday night. (Bay Area Native & Warriors fan) rooting for a long, healthy & successful career, Donte!

Donte: yeah.....

Sooo true
Does anyone know why Duncan stop podcasting? I missed the Longshot pod. We need more Duncan! #MiamirunsonDuncan
Prolly to focus on his game
i will never forget the feeling after watching that national championship.
I love the way Duncan talks about basketball and the details. Great speaker and mind

Great job, great podcast! 👏
Duncan good guy!!
MN NICE in the twolves culture! ❤
Duncan, I miss your podcast
Donte been having a few rough games recently. He’s gonna bounce back in a big way. Believe that.

The return
Great episode y’all
We need Davis back too
We need long shot back, Dunc is too good at this
Wiping the memory of your last college basketball game >>
Duncan so similar to JJ with how they talk in podcasts
DiVincenzo has played with some pretty guards. He mentioned Edwards and Brunson, but he played with Steph the year before that.
he was Jrue favorite player also, but... "why does the bucks suck ?!"
I was TPing during homecoming when I heard about this trade. I am TWolves fan and while KAT will always be an all time great here Dante is a bucket
Love you in minnesota keep it up
I’m still gonna watch the whole thing but you should add time stamps
Imagine this pod after the 2018 national championship game
Wolves got Lavonte Creshenzo😭
I really want to know Duncan’s secret spots in Miami 😂 🍣 🍱
Sushi in Minnesota sounds crazy 😂
Duncan, miss your pod get traded to la and get back on the grind
For the algorithm. Fun episode.
Come back and do the pod regular Duncan….you was shooting better back then anyway
Why not interview Jamal Crawford? He was mr six man, when you thought of six man you thought Jamal Crawford.
I am a knicks fan and i can say 11 games in , its clear to me wolves won that trade. Even though kat was the best player in the trade , the knicks gave up there chemistry/identity which translates to winning more then talent.
He’s too good to be floating around. Knicks messed up.
Duncan Robbing us son
Donte balled out w/ the Knicks… balled tf out… Knicks will regret this. They are already playing like doodoo
the exciting yts
I need Donte to be starting over Conley. Who’s running the show over there. It’s pathetic!
Le mec genre je m'y connais, mais en fait il mélange tout. 😂😂😂
Sheeeeeeesh
Knicks shoulda kept divo tbh
🧡💙
Adam Silver ruined NBA Basketball...
🤍🤍
...come back home donte...come back to NY
2 bums that should ride the podcast wave beacuse nba years are waning
Donte should focus more on playing than doing podcast. Cus he’s playing like hot garbage
