    If you use all those 5 companions, doesn't that force you to play a healer class, like paladin/cleric?

      Really, I haven't thought about the fact that someone my want to take the best 5 companions and would be stuck in healer class :P. I was analyzing their raw power not how they combine. You are right, there is no good healer companion, so if You play with a healer at all (I played once with healing only with bottles) that would be Your main in that case. Thanks for a great catch!

      Yeah, the load times are bad (with SSD on PC it is a bit better I think, but still bad). On PC, we can also use the mod that reduces the save games size and discards unpicked up loot, so it helps.

    I got the game yesterday but I am so confused. Members get fatigued every 30 sec and it requires camping. Too much reading and confusing classes.

    • @StratosOnline
      @StratosOnline  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank You for sharing Your feedback, it will help others decide. I agree that this game is overwhelming at class creation, and You can spend days before You will start the adventure. For me that is a positive, but I know that for a lot of people that maybe an issue. I can only recommend finding a build You like and try to follow it (but year that is a workaround for a problem of implementing the huge P&P system). I know that game gets better after some time investment. For the fatigue issue, I have the same thoughts as for time limits, not impacted me directly, as caster have to sleep all the time anyhow, but I know the major portion of players wouldn't be sad if that would be removed.

      @JoonKimDMD 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@StratosOnline I really tried to like this game, but the learning curve is too high even for a gamer who have played videogames over 30 yrs. I have played CRPG such as divinity original sin 2, but even that game was more user friendly than this one. It had font size, style, colors that was easier to read. Also, damage would be written as 1-12 or 3-30, instead of 1d4, 5D2...etc. It almost feels like learning a new language to even understand what the game wants to say. Frequent loading screen, fatigue, and camping really puts me off. Too many classes, and skills from Level 1 instead of progressive build up is also overwhelming. I would want skill trees to unlock slowly instead of giving me 30 different choices to choose as soon as the game starts. I know that the sequel is coming out soon and I hope it is more user friendly. Otherwise, I will look into Baldur's gate 3 or diablo 4 instead.

    • @StratosOnline
      @StratosOnline  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@JoonKimDMD First, thank You for a great conversation, and a point of view that will be true for a lot of new players. This game is more of a heritage to old school D&D games like Baldur's Gate 2, so it's 2 tiers more confusing the DOS2. I would compare it more to games like Crusader Kings 3 in terms of learning curve. I agree, it is like learning a new language, but some of us already know it a well due to playing Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale etc. They also had similar "problems". It is true that BG3 is a better introduction to D&D/Dice style combat then Pathfinder:Kingmaker. I like the analogy that: BG3 wants to translate the Pen & Paper freedom to PC game while Owlcat's Pathfinder wants to translate all the complexity of P&P game :)

    • @JoonKimDMD
      @JoonKimDMD 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@StratosOnline I have a few questions since it seems like you are really good at this game. More than half of the basic attacks are missing. After it says 'miss' it also has something like (17 vs 2) with the picture of a dice. What should I do if I don't want to miss attacks so many times? Even magic and melee attacks miss alot. I don't remember missing attacks unless my characters are blinded in DOS2. Magic attacks didn't miss not even once in that game. That's why I also got frustrated when it comes to combat. Obviously, I didn't have fun when half of my attacks are missing. Other problems I had were fatigue/camping, and encountering enemies far stronger than me. After moving around the world map for few seconds, it pops a window saying that my characters are tired and their stats became lower. It doesn't feel normal to go camping every 30 sec in this game. And is there a way to check/compare enemy stats to avoid a fight that I don't have a chance? Games like DOS2 showed enemy level, HP, and other stats so I could avoid them. And if I pick a stat, skill, feats, or abilities that are not ideal, can I just respec them at any time or should I restart the game?

    • @StratosOnline
      @StratosOnline  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@JoonKimDMD Ok so answers time. 1. Missing in melee is more common in Pathfinder than in DOS2 as it is to balance the lots of attacks melee has in the end. 17vs2 is a bit confusing, but on the bottom right is a combat log that when You hover mouse will show the math why did You miss. Simple explanation is Your hit bonus + number rolled on 20 sided dice has to be higher than enemy AC. Missing is a normal thing in the beginning (will get better with levels), but what You can do is attack same targets with multiple characters to get flanking bonus, apply debuff spells that lower enemy AC (Armor Class). Also, a confirmation if You have an archer or a caster casting a spell with words "ranged touch attack", You need to feats Point Blank Shot and Precise shot cause other way You get -4 penalty to hit while shooting into combat. What impacts You hit chance in melee mostly Strength (unless character has feat Weapon finesse then Dex), or DEX if using a ranged weapon or spell with "range touch attack".
