Pretty obvious that we were going to get a McFarlane Toys rendition of Heath Ledger's iconic portrayal of the Joker when the wave was announced. Even with my reservations of the speed of which this wave was put out, is this Joker a mad dog or all...part of the plan??

There's no question. McFarlane Joker is the superior figure.
In fact, over the years I've felt tempted to buy the Movie Masters Joker, but the terrible sculpt across the figure as a whole had always prevented me from buying it.
So far I haven't regretted that, and I'm for sure going for the McFarlane one.
For it's time the Movie Masters was terrific. People forget that Movie Masters was one of the first lines to actually try to wow adult collectors. It had to start somewhere.

Mattel also made a 7 inch Heath Ledger Joker as part of their DC Multiverse line.
I like that you are not kissing MacFarlane ass and you review things with a critique's eye. Most channels are addicted to all these "review" figures companies send them , by sacrificing their objectivity for free plastic stuff . Keep on being a badass and do not sell put like other channels who ended up being the advertising platforms of the stuff they purport to "review". Also this Joker's coat isn't supposed to be bigger ? Like in the movie.

I really wish McFarlane would make a Joaquin Phoenix Joker figure.
Just dont think its bulky build. Knowing he is wering a dress shirt and teo other things on top of that the suit coat itself is a bulky coat in itself so it mimics a bigger build but its just looks proper not super skinny 🤷♂️that would be bad tayloring

I got back and forth on it this is a "buff" sculpt or if Hasbro in particular just sculpts their figures with 0 meat to them. Clothing makes layers and this does look like someone wearing clothes, where as so many of them need a sandwich or if they've got clothing folds then they must be rail thin.
I domt have this figure in hand but I disagree with the likeness, I can see it, and honestly you'd be amazed at how much that face paint pattern really obscures feature. I did it for Halloween once and it took people a second to realize they were talking to me.
Really my only issue is the jacket and gloves color being off. But I love this look and he can be a comic or movie Joker because how much I like the Joker graphic novel design by Lee Bermejo

Man I was thinking about adding flames right before you said that to that stack of money. I just learned how to make molds so I'm going to make a mold of that money and then I'm going to make a bunch of copies of it so I can have it really stacked up like it was in the movie lol
The neca joker had a great attempt on heath ledger, the box art and the weapons but I repainted mine for a dirty weathered look on the face, it looked too clean.

As time goes on so does expectation. Wasn’t the Mattel like $10? And created in 2008? 15 years ago? The Mattel still is a good figure. The McFarlane Dark Knight figures do look a bit stylized. “Cool” but definitely not accurate to the source. All of them look taller and more jacked than their on screen counterparts

The last Dc Multiverse figure Mattel did of Ledger Joker, before they lost the License, was pretty great. And it had plenty of weapons. I feel like it was better then this one.
Not a fan of the Bale dark knight trilogy but only good thing from that trilogy is the joker
