Great review. This is a homage of my favourite watch,from my favourite brand.Baltany have done a great job of this model. You’re right,most of us wouldn’t be able to afford the original. This gives us the opportunity to experience a VC at an affordable level.

Completely beyond my budget
It is a fabulous watch, I have the one without the sub seconds, with the Miyota 9039. It is just awesome and the amount of people who ask about it is funny. A great homage of an unobtainable watch for normal folks. Thanks for bringing this awesome watch to a wider audience.

I own the exact one reviewed. Love it and totally agree…an excellent homage to a watch that only 1/2% of us could actually afford. I love this watch and love the on wrist experience as well.

I purchased this watch (silver automatic) and the Bronze field watch.. Love them! Last night looked at other Balcony mechanicals (Baltany 1935 Avigating Homage)and love it but choked at the price. Love Balcony!
I’m really keen on their new A7. Top of my current wish list.

It has a high beat miyota. I was thinking it was reasonably priced.
Just compared to others that I’ve seen selling with that movement.
But does feel a bit expensive for a “AliExpress“ watch.

I love this watch. And you're right, I've got the manual wind and it's very slim.
The original is unreachable for me so this is a great homage.
On the long term, I plan to blue the hour and minute hand. Probably I need to source correct hands for heat treatment.
The seconds hand is heat blued!

*update: just ordered it, silver manual. Really liked the gold case, but no manual version. Almost bought the salmon, but realized the finish is different, I think the silver is more legible and has a preferable finish. I love the Miyota 9 series, I was thinking maybe I just buy the Seagull version and just change it to Miyota, but it turns out the Miyota versions are slightly larger at 40mm.
I think I'll erase the Baltany logo and change it to something else ... like you said, it looks like an afterthought and should easily be removed.
I’m still considering the no subdial miyota version.
I love this watch and adding that movement would make it incredible.

I've got the Baltany B4030 black dial and it's such a beautiful watch. I just wish it was larger. Most of their watches are so nice but a 42mm offering from them would be much more suited to me.
You might like their new A7 then.

I really like your long term reviews, they are well worth the wait 👍. I love my Miyota version, the dial and hands are just superb and the cushion case is so well made. The crown is a little awkward for winding, so if worn regularly, I think the auto or even the quartz versions are better than the hand winding. I would prefer the dial straight in the case even though that is the USP.
I think they have released a quartz now. It looks a little different but same style.

It is an interesting design but I have always felt a little nervous about buying anything on line and from foreign sources especially given Canada's high import duties that impact anything over $20.00. Sadly, this fear has limited my prospects and I am not certain how to resolve this issue.
Aliexpress will collect the tax upon checkout, you'll see what you have to pay before you pay.
Maybe keep an eye on the local used watch market. Lots of people in Canada buying these sort of watches.
Check out Chris on his channel Mirrly on time. He’s Canadian and buys from AliExpress. He might have some further insight for you
