The song has over 400 million views on TH-cam on the original video alone, along with song downloads, stuff like that, I'm sure he gets some royalties from it, considering he was one of the main characters in the music video. I'm sure he's doing just fine, no need to worry.
For those who don't know what's all about. The video is based on an old legend. In the legend, a little deaf boy had the power to know other people's troubles, and could heal them with his voice. He left his abusive home and found a stray dog to keep him company. As he was living on the streets, he found an old man being shouted at and stoned by others in the village. The boy used his power to heal the man's heart, and they continue traveling together. Then they find a man who is disfigured and shunned by society. The boy uses his voice again and find that the man is really a prophet who was cursed by El diablo, the statue you see at the end of the video. Anyone who can hear El Diablo immediately falls under his control. They hear he can be found beyond the desert, so the group travels to see him. They find the cave where El Diablo lives, but the two men and the dog can't enter. If they do, they'll fall under El diablo control. So the boy goes alone. Because he is deaf, he can't hear El diablo. He stayed in that cave, and used his voice to drown out El diablo, so nobody would be hurt by him again. (Brenda Centeno!)

Alex the Cement Man - your dreams came true. So happy for you. For me I am so delighted with the fact the character in the clip is a real poor man, and in real life his life finally has taken some positive turn. Love to see that.... The song and video clip go so well together. My little daughter loved the song on the radio and when I played the video, she is even more fascinated. For me the only thing i found it little difficult to explain is the El Tio - the demon statue, which actually looks scary.

When this song came out I was so young I completely forgot about it and a couple days ago it came in my recommended I literally was bawling my eyes out 🥴
Do you know what is sad? In Bolivia, a lot of actors don't get serious jobs because the people here (most of them) think that an acting career is such a waste of time, there are a lot of films that don't even have the half of recognition that this video has. All I can say now is that I'm so freaking proud of my fellows Bolivian actors in this music video.
So how is the weather in bolivia? I see most people wearing a coat so i assume it has to be cold....but like a cold summer? Looks very interesting thanks for sharing the experience on youtube. Now bolivia is another destination on my list :D!
Does people that wear the coats are Incans. They wear those for tradition. Bolivia is not hat in that part of it. That region is all mountains so thin air and high sunlight so it can get very cold but the sun keeps you warm enough. I'm from there it is a very beautiful place full of mystery and tradition. Visit it if you desire.
The weather actually depends, if you go to La Paz or Potosi, which is where they mostly filmed the video, it is very cold, but some other cities are really hot and humid, like Santa Cruz. :)

watching in may of 2016! So proud of Bolivia!!!
Its too hot! U should visit Argentina, its better.
it is hot in the middle of the day but u have a cold wind, and at night is too cold ! dont you forget its like 5,6 thousands metter over the sea.
Potosi is over 15.000ft in altitude. so it can get very cold.
