I think I chose this over ft03. Yes ft03 much brighter but only short amount of time and getting hotter after that. This Nextool offer much better run time at peak brightness and I like it.

firstly, thanks a bunch for all your reviews.Because of your effort, time and professional data and quality comparisons I subscribed and bought for work the FT03-sst40-5700k as a thrower with Shockli 5500mah and few hours back bought this one as well due to spreaded beam and usefull for searchlight with spill,meaning more spill and hotspot that spreads out over distance. the music,atmosphere and effects is awesome and a bonus,puts you apart from the rest

I think this nextool xhp is better than the one I have which is the XLM P70 but mine for 22$ shipped and can be charged up without removing battery is pretty cool! U just can't find these types of lights in department stores or atleast the same types of, so the ones you'll see in local stores that are bright just aren't worth what these lights are available online as in this video, in otherwords online is were to get these from, the P70 light I have is bright enough to get you interested in night time exploring or late night walking but it's a little too blue in color however I'm very impressed by it,, I'll probly consider in future purchasing a Sofrin C8G, Acebeam k70 and maybe one more to compare/experiment with

I was expecting a 1600 lumen shitter but it's punching way above 2000 lumens, for some reason it looks about 5000 lumens.
I have posted video beamshots of the NexTool XHP50.2 a month ago (longer distance and short distance beamshots + a few comparison beamshots with somewhat similar flashlights), and I can confirm that it is much brighter than 2000 lumens on Turbo (comparing with flashlights with known lumens numbers only -- as I don't have a way to measure lumens directly for now).
I think this is the first review I've seen with some lumens numbers for the NexTool XHP50.2. Good job, Flashaholics! (and also testing how long it took for the initial stepdown -- the flashlight doesn't get really hot due to its size)
I wonder why they posted much lower lumens numbers for this flashlight. I'm measuring about 8 Amps tailcap current on Highest mode.
@@dta8437 I'm guessing NexTool don't have access to a calibrating sphere! Unless the ANSI is 2000 lumens in China on a red hot day lol.
@@dta8437 Most small flashlight companies don't have the means to measure output. Most of the time, they rate their lights based on output correlating to expected/measured current, which is usually significantly higher than actual OTF output since it doesn't take into account potential losses through the lens, reflector, TIR, and unforeseen electrical resistance.

This light is not going to be impressive with the UI features. It looks and feels more old school until you see the light it emmits. For an ordinary and fairly inexpensive general purpse flashlight it works and works well. For the money, it is hard to find a better combination beam light with decent run times. It will never impress people, but it will get the job done as a flashlight.

I am very satisfied with using it so far.
But really want to talk about the shortcomings, I think this flashlight,
It's a pity that there is no memory function for brightness,
It is the brightest mode every time it is turned on,
sometimes indoors or at close range,
It will suddenly make people feel dazzling and uncomfortable.
In addition, the 26650 battery is not very popular, relatively rare,
At present, 18650 or 21700 batteries are more common.
I ended up buying it at NT$650 (battery included),
At about $21.07, it's a real bargain.
I hate lights that only turn on full power. And strobe in the cycle is as bad.

I bought Xtar 26650 5200mAh, 3.6v, Button Top, Protected and it didn’t work, I guess maybe because it has 2mm longer than the one came with the flashlight or because it's not Flat top (?). My battery seller said SHOCKLI 5500mAh 3.7v is unprotected battery, I thought Nextool XHP50.2 should use protected battery.
@@Hineni1998 most companies use protected cells when shipping with a light as its safer for transport etc. A decent unprotected cell will be fine, just don't buy Ultrafire or carry it in your pocket with keys or money

lol, good one, I bought both,the Ft03-sst40 as thrower purely(tight spot and distance about 850m)and the Nextool xph50.2 as hybrid(what I call it, decent spill with a spot that gradually increases over distance) @ 300m more or less. I just bought this flashlight 2hours ago and believe tthaat both awesome and depends on your appliation and needs.My 2c and I'm amateur but use both types for work of a tactical nature. i believe as a searchlight tthis one excells in size,battery life and wider beam...hope pros can be of more assistance

Yes, you might need rubber rings to act as spacers.

something doesnt add up. 30$ for this? that means it costs something like $15 or less to manufacture them in large quantity. think about it. also im not aware of how good or cheap that battery is, i only buy the Sony and Samsung batteries.
Battery had very low impedance for a 26650, 40ohm, they are usually 60-100 in my charger.
I can also confirm that the battery performs well. I measure around 13mOhms AC IR with a YR1030 battery resistance meter, which puts it on par with some of the good quality 26650 batteries.
