So, the one I received from Banggood was faulty. When the light is on, a double click is supposed to give you "Turbo" mode. But with mine, it does a bright flash, goes dark, and no button click, or sequence of clicks, gets it to turn back on. Unscrewing the tail cap, then screwing it back in allows the light to function again. I was using an 18650 to test the light. I will be sending it back for refund. As a side note, I also purchased a cheap AAA UV light, that when a AAA is inserted, causes the light to remain on. Clicking the switch just toggles between high, low, and flashing. Removal of the battery was the only way to turn it off. It's also going back.
@@PiercingTheDarkness Thanks for the reply. I ended up with the Molicel P45B and now it works well. The beam patter, on the other hand is horrible, but the light works as it should.
BTW, the light doesn't come with any battery. What should I use? Protected? Unprotected? Any good brand to use? Since this has a USB-C cord, I'm guessing any rechargeable can be installed and charged inside this light?
@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV I finally got this light in the mail, yesterday. I purchased the one with the 5000K SST40 LEDs and it wasn't very bright [with a fully charged 18650], and had the absolute worst beam pattern I've ever seen. Artifacts everywhere. And because it was purchased from overseas, the return process [because it wasn't broken] will cost me a fair amount. In this case, I wasted my money.
I purchased a Molicel P45B for this light. It functions as it should. I got the one with the 5oooK SST40 and it has the absolute worse beam pattern I've ever seen. I had to resort to using some Writeright micro thin screen protector sheets in an attempt to smooth out the beam. It has worked fairly well. Not great, but much better. But as for how bright this light is? It is fairly bright, I suppose, but claims 11000LM? I don't think so. My Acebeam L35 is definitely brighter, with it's single LED. And I'm pretty much stuck with this light, because, in order to send it back to Banggood, I would have to pay for shipping, and am not sure what carrier to use. I guess "live and learn". Fortunately, it wasn't something that cost $200+.
@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV I'll have to send again. I got it from 18650batterystore. I don't know if they're a reputable business or not. I assume so. As a side note, I did test this battery out of the box. I only did this for a few seconds. Three clicks showed it at 3.5V so I am currently charging it. But I would think that 3.5V would still be sufficient to allow full power. BTW, does this flashlight have internal battery protection? I read that unprotected cells can be dangerous if used in something without protection circuitry.
Astrolux is a great company that produce numerous outstanding flashlight products. However the previous FT02S V1 I am not a great fan of it, it has very severe parasitic drain and the 26650 battery life cannot last. Even without switching on, the 26650 automatically lost charge speedily, the only way to to manually unscrew the Base Cap to open the Electrical Circuit. Compare to EA01S also another 26650 flastlight from Astrolux from the same lauch period is so much better than the FT02S V1, hell even the old MF01 mini is even better than the FT02S V1. I will not recommend the FT02S V1. How is this V2 fare, I am not sure... Looks like just simply a LED swap...
Not sure why so many love RGB, that's something I would give to my 8yr old niece to play with. I normally turn them off or if bright enough, use red to reduce insects.
It's seems to be all but gone now. I think Anduril II buried the fad with it having just too much to customise. It got to the point that even serious flashaholics probably didn't want too many Anduril lights. And for me, I started getting some features of Narsil, Anduril, and Anduril II mixed up at times. Which was exacerbated by different default setting versions of Anduril II being sold.
@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV Iv mastered anduril 2. But the new version with the channels and tactical mode, confuses me lol. I can use tactical, but programming it per graph makes no sense,

I like this light. I wish the beam wasn't so ring--y, but impressive amount of output.
Rings and tint shifts but a lot of lumens for the price!
@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV For sure! Crazy amount for the price! I decided to give one a go.

Sounds like you're using a protected cell though, you need a high drain unprotected cell.

how about using 18650, a have a lot of cells from depack.. that's why im looking for 18650 flashlight...

It comes with an optional 26650, but I'd just use a MOLICEL P45B. Most of your questions are dealt with in the review.

which one the most powerfull molicell p45b or samsung 30t for single batrey like ft02s or ft03s?
I think the P45B is the current king. Lishen 60A pushes it.

More flood and a lot more power

@DRayL_ 3.5V won't be very impressive, lol. Probably won't even let you use Turbo.
