Pollock was actually relatively fair outside the sec. If anything just a Georgia homer but overall pretty fair and he was great on the show. Mcafee killed the show
ESPN has lost a TON of credibility for passing on this one in Corvalis. Conzano, I am a Husky fan born and raised in Seattle.....you're one of our best sports journalists in the NW, keep up the great work!
ESPN has been on a warpath against the PAC ever since they voted against the expanded CFP. ESPN did not want the CFP to go to the open market, where they would have to compete against FOX for CFP rights. They are the culprit in ending the PAC12. They did this by severely overpaying for B12 media rights. Outside of UT and OU, the viewership numbers just doesnt demand $20M+ per team per year. This year, thru week 11, the non UT and OU B12 teams are averaging less than 1M viewers per game. Make this make sense... Also, ESPN solely owns the media rights to the SunBelt Conference. They dont own the PAC media rights.
Gameday is a sham. Firing Pollack was their first straw. Mcfukabee's WSU comments was the second and last straw. Fuk CGD! At least Josh Pate is gonna show up and give the Beavs some love.
GameDay like Oregon not osu. I have known this for over 20 years. Oregon took Gameday to Cornvallis for their first time and only time in 2010, when osu had a losing record. Oregon took Gameday to Seattle for their first time. And Oregon took Gameday to Pullman for their first time. And Gameday has already covered OREGON TWICE, this year.
Yea gameday is not it anymore, i used to look forward to where there would be cause i knew it was the biggest game of the week. NO Longer the case im out.great take!
College Game Day goes to Virginia and the game there that they are covering will be on ESPN+, you know, streaming over the internet. Whoever gave the green light to this plan should be looking for a new job.
UO ALUM & Duck fan here, shame on ESPN for skipping OSU at home vs the Huskies. My Stock in ESPN is plummeting… sell now, sell, sell, sell… for, the Jonas bros? Wow…
You know damn well if you're not in the SEC, they don't think you're good enough. Someone said the Big Ten, too, but I'd almost bet money that they're not going to the OSU-Michigan game. Since the B1G left them, they have almost completely quit trying to hide that they hate the B1G and especially are going nuts on Michigan. Incredibly biased network that plays favorites. In the Pac-12, their faves are right now Washington and Oregon, and they assume Washington is going to beat Oregon State.
This is the epitome of ESPN's treatment of the west coast in College Football. Its unfortunate and just not pragmatic if you're really trying to enhance the product of the sport.
I am glad that they did that. It is how they treated teams like us for years. I did not expect anything different from them. Stay true to yourselves Espn.
Completely ridiculous to not cover this game in Corvallis - I mean, this game is being televised on ABC and the James Madison game is on ESPN +. Who has JMU played this year? This team has battled these juggernaut programs - Bucknell, Troy, Utah State, South Alabama, Georgia Southern, Old Dominion, Georgia State, Connecticut, Marshall, Coastal Carolina, Virginia and now App state. These teams have a combined record of 51 and 59, yeah - really exciting football there. ESPN is full of a bunch of pencil-pushing, bean-counting cowards.
All of this years events may have ruined me for life on college sports. Has an OSU alumni from the 80’s I was so enjoying how they built up the football program. Only to see this level of disrespect and lack of integrity this year by so many. College sports is for the the student athletes and the boosters.
You completely dismissed JMU is undefeated and this is their bowl game. Be apathetic. The last time someone from PNW called out Game Day, they haven’t won a game since.
College gameday is as embarrassing. I honestly find Pat and all his B. S. Act so cringey. Grown men still trying to act like bro-college kids is just sad and feels like pandering at this point. It felt like it gave legit credibility to games before, now it’s a circus at best.
@@Ducksfan76 gawd Ducks fans are the worst. Corvallis is a nice college town with that would have made for a great game day. Reece Davis has said on many occasions that Gameday in Pullman(similiar to Corvallis) was the best game day ever...when we stomped the Ducks.
OSU has a middling history. It has too deep of a losing history. It takes a good decade or two for the national media to notice any team. Having one of the smallest stadiums doesn’t help. One conference title in sixty years is not a good sign. Recent successes the past few years don’t make up for many terrible seasons. The Beavers haven’t had the major press coverage to have national interest. This lack of interest is part of the reason the PAC 2 have gotten no offers from the Power 4. I wish the PAC 2 nothing but legal success against the ten departers. It’s going to take many good seasons to gain the respect of the nation and outlets like espn. Like Steve Miller said, it’s time to slow down, take the money and run!
Have watched Gameday from day 1 and still watching, but disappointed in their selection process especially with big games and this clown McAfee. The question then arises as to who makes decisions on locations?
I for one will not be watching ESPN game day this Saturday 🤬, because I will be at the mock “game day” event on 25th st in Corvallis instead!! It should be hilarious and biting!! Go Beaves!!!🦫
As a Beaver fan, thank you John for speaking out on this. Nuff said.
I whole heartedly agree with you, and I'm a Duck Fan.
ESPN lost its way when they went with McAfee and let David Pollock go
Pollock was actually relatively fair outside the sec. If anything just a Georgia homer but overall pretty fair and he was great on the show. Mcafee killed the show
Don’t watch Gameday anymore. Just a clown show anymore.
Nailed it John. I'm finished with Game Day.
ESPN has lost a TON of credibility for passing on this one in Corvalis. Conzano, I am a Husky fan born and raised in Seattle.....you're one of our best sports journalists in the NW, keep up the great work!
Even Pat and his crew were disappointed.
Fox sports show on Saturday's is what ESPN was many years ago! I do not watch ESPN on Saturday's anymore I go with Fox give it a try people!!!!!
evidently Game Day no longer cares about ratings and viewership.
ESPN has been on a warpath against the PAC ever since they voted against the expanded CFP.

ESPN Gameday is propaganda for the brands it wants to promote….stopped watching the show a while ago.
Me too
Cowardice on ESPN's part. No disrespect to JMU, but really??? Skipping a top ten matchup with CFP/conference title implications in favor of that game?
Amen! I couldn't have said it better.
ESPN are cowards. Go Beavs!
To Hell with College Game day will never watch again.....
Gameday is a sham. Firing Pollack was their first straw. Mcfukabee's WSU comments was the second and last straw. Fuk CGD! At least Josh Pate is gonna show up and give the Beavs some love.
Right best game of the week I’m no longer watching that bs show after they pulled this stunt smh

Haha, you keep track like a spiteful wife. Loosen up bro!

Big Noon is definitely better but it's not great either
Spot on JC. ESPN is tone deaf. Go Ducks! Go Beavs!
College Game Day goes to Virginia and the game there that they are covering will be on ESPN+, you know, streaming over the internet. Whoever gave the green light to this plan should be looking for a new job.
well said

I am done with gamely and ESPN
You are spot on, not going to Corvallis is not good for college football, we all know that College Gameday is all about the Big 10 and the SEC.
I’ve been done with Game Day for awhile. Pat McAffe(?) is too much. I much prefer listening to all the local guys here in Portland and Eugene.
I'm done with Gameday. ESPN as a whole is a complete joke.
Everyone who pays attention to college football has stopped watching gameday.
College gameday doesnt mean the game is gonna be any better. Its still happening. Get over it.
Good thing the signal is weak....We don't have to listen to Canzano south of Salem. 👍👍🤢🤢
This is the epitome of ESPN's treatment of the west coast in College Football. Its unfortunate and just not pragmatic if you're really trying to enhance the product of the sport.
Game day rocks! Go Trojans. Fight on!
What you expect? CU didn't pan out like how everyone thought.
I feel like putting Mcafee in the thumbnail is a bit dirty. He made a point to say that it’s messed up.
Amen!
Couldn’t agree more!!!!! Go DAWGS!!!
ESPN in general sucks now.
Disney ruined it. How else can you explain the collapse of what was once the go to Sports Channel.
I will boycott I think they just want our money
I am glad that they did that. It is how they treated teams like us for years. I did not expect anything different from them. Stay true to yourselves Espn.

Wazzu fan here. I gave up watching GameDay because of Pat McAfee and his trashing WSU and OSU. They are a big part of the fall of the PAC. Screw ESPN.
Totally agree..
Pac 12?????
It will be no more after this year!!! The writing is on the wall!!!

Where is fox going

Stuffs like this is why I prefer to sleep in on Saturday morning than watching the train wreck of college game day.
FTD and F Gameday
Pat McAfee made it that much worse
Notice McAfee only picks the home team host to get them ra-ra him. What a bonehead.
Gameday snub. UTAH vs Arizona on Pac 12 network. USC vs UCLA in primetime? Verd de Ferq?
College gameday is as embarrassing. I honestly find Pat and all his B. S. Act so cringey. Grown men still trying to act like bro-college kids is just sad and feels like pandering at this point. It felt like it gave legit credibility to games before, now it’s a circus at best.
Go Beavs , knocking off UW this Saturday
They're not going to drive across the country for one game just to drive back to the Southeast or Midwest for the final game of the season.
They fly all over the place every week lmfao
Why would game day wanna go to Corvallis I don’t blame for saying screw that there’s nothing in Corvallis
I don't blame you for not wanting to go to Corvallis. You guys took an L there last year. Go Cougs!!(and Beavs)
What does that have to do with gameday ?? Fox doesn’t even wanna go there Corvallis is a dump which fits perfectly in the mountain west
Except a great top 10 football program.

.... said the typical arrogant duck fan who has probably never set foot in Corvallis. It is the quintessential college town.
Washington about to lose
