Tonight we have the opportunity to play this long awaited release. The newest version of Mudrunner does not disappoint - The game has been completely revamped for 2020 with a slick new interface, a new garage, tons of new maps, and a way better mission interface - This is no longer just a logging game - its much more.

Cool video. This game makes Mudrunner look like a tech demo. The upgrades are really cool and the missions are neat.

The Fleetstar with AWD is a beast my favorite truck in the game :)
Mudrunner was ok good. Snowrunner is amazing brilliant. Love the game. Can’t get enough.

Great video, really enjoyed it. Couldn’t help but chuckle when you accidentally unpacked the planks and had to go back for more. Pain for you but it makes for great footage. :) Just got this yesterday for my birthday and have progressed up to the garage. Am half way through a mission with downed power lines, but need to go to a warehouse and as yet can’t see a route I”m happy that my starter truck with it’s highway tires can deal with. Watching you though, I’m thinking perhaps I’m being over cautious. Anyway... just subscribed and looking forward to seeing what else you have in store.

Hi Badger - Yes, use the fleetstar (be sure to upgrade it to the free AWD). Go up over the mountain pass just beyond the mudpit and you will be fine - Just stay nearer the telephone poles in the mud pit so you can winch if you need too.
I've played MudRunner and this on another level amazing amount of content and minute attention to detail 👍👍

when i did the first mission i pained myself by picking up the beams to the truck and then going down to the mill and getting the trailer of planks already down there. you can imagine how well that went.

High Arthur, great vid. Just in case you haven’t noticed yet. You can sell the trailers. If you scroll down to the one the chain symbol (attached trailer) it will give you a sell option. Looking forward to the next instalment

GMC has diff. lock and AWD upgrades avaliable. It's a very good off road truck and the fact it's the first truck you own, adds some sentimental value.
Another point, you don't buy anything in this game. Everything you buy, you can sell for the same price, so in reality you're only renting what you need.
True both of those statements - even with just Diff lock and Off Road Tires the 9500 is a beast. Can't wait for the AWD upgrade!!!

I just started playing this last night. Missions and cargo can be frustrating due to glitchy software, but overall a fun game.
The developers need a better tutorial on gameplay. The Codec is vague and 'trial and error' can be frustrating.
I'm getting good at rolling trucks over! Interested to see how you get along.

You can manually lift, when you have nothing in the pickup zone, the option for manual load basically spawns something in the pickup zone....if it's already there, the manual load is greyed out which makes it look confusing...outfit your truck with a crane and you are free to load manually without needing to select anything from the cargo management menu
Ikr - once you add the crane it gets a bit better - though I have had it load pallets on my already loaded pallets by mistake lol.
It's so much more than MudRunner, I agree, it's the "same" but the whole terrain mechanics are all "MudRunner" but the whole new contract system and vehicle collecting and upgrading makes SnowRunner a whole stand-alone game...my advice, go into this as a new game, don't think MudRunner before playing, despite how much you love that game. This is an offroad ATS/ETS2 sim, with MR terrain physics
Personally I think this game is far better than Mudrunner - it makes Mudrunner look like a tech demo.

Swami SAYS, you can just SMELL the old vinyl inside the cab of that truck. Swami SAYS, some-ONE should invent an "Old Car Smell" spray - like a RETRO version of the "New Car Smell" - SANS all the REALLY "funky" stuff... #SwamiSays

Is their a bug when u go to different maps and you lose your trucks when u switch back to the pervious map u were on?
You have to "retain" them to have them on the next map. You shouldn't have lost them though. They should have stayed on the map - that is unnerving.

@@Vbluguitar Not gonna lie its very relaxing, looking out of the window your surrounded by mountains and green pastures, now i live in the western part which is as i state but eastern is very different, flat and not much to see. Every day people are moving here though so i hope it doesnt get as crowded as other states:)

Tried to take a short cut by using a trailer and end up taking twice as long to finish the job. That's Snowrunner.
That does happen early in the game - thankfully later on, the trucks pull better so you end up saving time.
In my experience off-road at least here in Florida, speed is usually king in mud. If you don’t have enough wheel speed then your tires won’t clear the mud, they’ll just slick up. But there are situations when you’re almost stuck that high rpms will just dig you down and low speed may help to break suction and grab what little traction there is slowly. But most of the time speed is key

Because you have to upgrade your gearbox for offroad. Stock gearboxes aren't good for offroad, passable but not good.
Just stop using mouse then. Use Functions menu instead.
Navistar "Navastar" International 5000 MV is real truck made by Navistar Defense. As you can guess it is military truck designed to pull heavy loads in situations where armor could save the driver.
The upgrade gearboxes are ok - sadly they take almost double the fuel to operate.

Yes. This video is very old at this point - I know most things about this game now ;) - been playing nonstop for 2.5 year lol. Back then there was a lot to learn.
Easier to just load the truck with metal then grab the trailer at the mill preloaded with wood.
What controller types does it support? With Mudrunner, my biggest complaint was you can't mix controller types i.e. mouse and keyboard with a steering wheel, like you can with the Farming Simulator series.
There have been some issues with controller support so I can't answer this with any education lol - the Xbox Controller and keyboard have been iffy - When I try to use the mouse sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. A big patch hit today so we will see if there is improvement.
Low gear only helps when you have diff lock
That isn't true - it keeps your wheels from slipping, which can give you better grip in the mud, especially once you get off road tires. Wheel slip and control are a big part of not getting bogged.
@@Vbluguitar That's actually the case in real life in these big trucks as well, so it was nice to see that in the game.
They must have changed the prices on the game. Or you remembered incorrectly but you sound so sure haha. The standard price USD is $50, and the premium edition is $70. The Season Pass stand alone is $25. I just bought the game on xbox so maybe the price is different there like they used to to do years ago. Idk. Looking forward to playing though. Never played the previous game at all.
The prices are different lol. Xbox is more expensive than PC. Probably cause Epic Exclusive.

Yes, on others maps - I won't do it on mine because it will mess up the maps for YT - But I am planning on going on viewers maps.

There is a pre-loaded trailer of wood at the sawmill. Also I took a ralph out of the sawmill my 1st run through and had to use the pickup truck to tow out 😂😂😂Now Im using the Khan and the Royal as my 2 work horses and just 1 mission away from completing Black River.
Do the maps turn to winter or do you have to find the snow maps
The seasons of the maps are static. The First Snow map is Alaska. There are also several Russian snow maps and the Yukon is a mix of snow and mud.

Is there away to use a shifter? My wheel works fine, but it dosen't seem to recognize my shifter, am I missing something?
I will look into that - You could in Mudrunner, but I don't think you can in this one - I will have a look.
@@Vbluguitar Thank you! I had no problem getting it working in Mudrunner, but Snow runner has me stumped. I have the Th8a shifter using the usb cable, because plugging it directly into my wheel base is only supported by Xbox One

It has to be purchased through Epic, so you will need to download epic and then purchase it through there. There is no direct link.

Definitely disagree with you here. But its definitely not appealing to the general "racing game" player. This game is for people that like games like Train Sim World or Flight Sim, or Farm Sim.
