How was AI used in the making of the album? You've composed music before, so was it just being used to produce vocals / samples, or something more? I'm just curious since I don't mind AI being used as a tool, but there's a big difference between that and people who use it as a "Make Music" button.
In an effort to be as transparent as possible, I made use of specific prompts and phrases to generate the sound that I wanted. I wrote all of the lyrics and song structures myself. In terms of the melodies, these were generated by the AI, which I then curated through editing software like Audacity to get it exactly how I wanted. Whether this qualifies as "making music by pushing a button" is difficult for me to answer. I think you could have hours of conversation about what it means to make music. Some artists have had music made for them (Carole King wrote many songs for various artists) and then they sing on the track. Others use software with pre-made digitalised instruments that they will assemble to create a song. Some might only have the lyrics with no melody or anything else. For me, what matters is the intent behind using AI. I only ever wanted to explore the creative possibilities with this technology. I'm not doing this for financial gain, but to produce songs that I personally enjoy and hopefully others can enjoy as well. I'll probably be getting a few comments like yours (which, by the way, I appreciate you asking) so I want to make this my full statement on the matter. Thank you!
